MERCEDES BENZ 1988 560SL $8,500, or best offer, 139,465 miles This is a nice clean 560SL Mercedes Benz, Roadster, an antique classic collector’s item that can be altered to “Mint Condition” very easily considering the amount of repairs and new parts installed the past 2 years The exterior color is gray with matching gray interior and runs very well with a lot of horse power. This Mercedes has a lot of life remaining and should run for a very long time as these cars are known to go very high mileage; and it has had continuously maintenance and repairs.. The engine does not burn any oil or smoke or leak any oil and runs very quiet and the transmission shifts out smoothly, a really nice running automobile. The car looks good and is mechanically sound, and just passed inspection, 1/2012. This is an 8 Cylinder automatic convertible The tires are very good and have about 75-80% tread remaining. The AC blows cold and Heater hot. The electrical systems works just fine as well as “no” check engine light has been on at all. Since I am a female and refuse to drive a car that may break down, I have the car checked 4-5 times a year and replace anything wearing down. I LOVE this car and am only selling it because I have four young grandchildren and was forced to purchase an SUV Since the “original” exterior of the car looks good, I have focused on keeping the car in top running condition and good electrical condition, and replaced anything wearing down. A list of repairs for the last few years is listed below: October 2009 – Replaced. Muffler, used Valvoline 3-part Fuel Injection cleaner; Dissolves Throttle body deposits, Cleanoecline fuel induction system. Removes deposits on intake valves and cleans clogged fuel injectors. November 2009 – Check for leaks, none found. Fill windshield wiper fluid, replaced 3rd break lamp bulb, drained fuel pan; replace dry rotted fuel pump supply hose. November 2009 – The Lube Center – 15 Point check (Air Filter, Battery, Belts, Brake Fluid, Differential/Transfer Case, Headlights/Brake lights, Hoses, Lubrication Points, Power Steering Fluid, Radiator Fluid, Tire Pressures, Transmission Fluid, Wash,/Windshield,Washer Solvent, Wiper Blades—ALL OK., Changed oil, Deluxe Engine Lush. July 2010 – Replace Air Conditioner compressor, ac Hose, ac Dryer, AC oil, ac Freon. July 2010 – Repair hazard light, replace AC control panel bulb September 2010 – New rear brake pads - August 2011 – Replaced fuel filter, fuel pump, and supply hose, changed oil. New trans. pan gasket, filter, servor piston seal., repair window S/W. Installed new rear bumper pad, New LF lower control arm. New/ both FT sway bark linkage . January 2012 – new Battery, DH Gold GP 49. I have receipts for all maintenance performed and repairs. Has driver air bag, cruise control, electric windows. The paint is in good condition and still has some shine for a car that is 24 years old. There are two very small rust spots at very bottom of lower side trim. The chrome is in very good and windshield is clear, The interior is in very good condition. The soft top is black and looks fair and has been patched in three spots but does not leak and looks good from a distance. The rear poly glass window is real clear and has no damage. The hard top which comes with the car is in near perfect condition. There are two small cracks on the Dash board which does not look bad. The rest of the interior is in very good condition and the carpet is in very good condition as well.
