1965 MUSTANG A-CODE. Here you see a car that three sets of people stopped to look and ask about it just while I was taking these pictures! This is a 1965 A code coupe that has been given some extra touches. The engine is a very smooth running and sounding 289 V8 with an Edelbrock four barrel (1406/600-cfm) carburator with electric choke, Edelbrock performer 289 aluminum intake, billet distributor, MSD ignition upgrade with a flame-thrower ignition coil, genuine Motorcraft performance plug wires, chrome drop down headers, dual 'X' exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. The car idles quietly and then has a nice deeper exhaust note when revved up. The engine bay also has chrome braces, and a chrome dress up kit, the alternator is chromed and the valve covers are aluminum from Ford racing. The car does have power steering, stock manual brakes with drums front and back, the transmission is stock automatic and shifts nicely. The suspension in the front is either new or refurbished, rear leaf springs are new, and the shocks are new all the way around. The gas tank is new. The car is a custom blue color that looks great, the body looks to be accident free, totally solid and straight . The previous owner added many GT package cosmetic upgrades, the car has GT foglites (not hooked up yet), badges, rear valance and exhaust tips. The car also sports a 'Shelby' style fiberglass scoop hood, and a set of cool modern new Mustang 17" chrome rims and new 235/45ZR-17" tires. The car has some really cool LED 'Shelby' tailights, they have sequential turn signals like old T-Birds......the LEDs can be seen from a block away!! The headlights are also bright white sealed beams. The body is rust free, the only thing of note is a small floor patch on the passenger floor (typical previous heater core leak). The vinyl top is like new, and all the chrome trim on the car is either new or in very good condition. The trunk has a custom removable trunk carpet kit. The interior is in very good condition and has a pony upgrade, new headliner......please note the Mustang dual chrome door-sill scuff plates, when connected the blue Mustang logo will light up with the courtesy lights. The gauges/speedometer and lights work, the stereo does not. The blower motor works, wipers work. This car was a garage project/labor of love over the past 5-6 years by an individual (peace officer). The car is 99% complete, (may need some small miscellaneous items such as rubber plugs for the firewall/drain plugs etc.) and has been only driven a handful of miles since completed, so may need some basic shake down adjustments etc. The car has a clear California title.
