Now with LOWER RESERVE First, I would consider accepting Paypal for full payment if YOU OFFER to pay the fees :) Most people do not know that there are a handful of SERIOUSLY weak links on the 97 and 98 XK8's. 1)The secondary timing chain tensioner fails------Destroys the motor 2)Water pump propellers break off-----Destroys the motor 3)The mysterious stalling (especially on the highways) cause by a blocked breather 4)Control arm bushings fail------ruins tires within a few thousand miles 5)Front wheel bearings fail-----accident or premature wear on tires. Usually lose the wheel while driving. A very reasonable and low Reserve. This car has been meticulously maintained during, and prior to, my ownership. I have owned this car since 2003/2004. Years ago I spent approx $3000 at Jaguar and had all these fixed, whether it needed it or not, with the updated parts and computer programming. I did not want to have to worry about anything and neither will you. The car is in great condition. The motor is flawless and has no leaks. The interior is a 9.9 out of 10. The body is a 9 out of 10. It is garaged in climate control environment. I bought it with 51,000 miles on it and have put on 16,000 miles in about 9 years. Maybe 500 in the last several years. No winters. Please check out my feedback. I'd appreciate and expect the same in return. Thanks for looking at my auction. . I am aware the other weak link: The nikasil liners. This not an issue with he gas at the pumps these days (yes, one good thing about the terrible gas we have). Plus, I use synthetic oil and, most importantly, let the car warm up for 2 minutes when it is cold. The oil change, with Mobil 1, is done twice a year. Which is anywhere between every 50 to 500 miles! I also have the battery replaced and the alternator rebuilt a few years back . Again, about 2k-3k miles ago. Battery is always on a tender. Just to answer the emails, I've summed up the answers: The car needs nothing. However, I recently noticed the headliner is sagging but that is about it. No service or repairs needed, the car has been meticulously maintained and serviced. No joke, there are no noises, vibrations, shakes, missing knobs, broken parts, no leaks, no smells, no issues. Stereo/cd, a/c, lights, all the power stuff (locks mirrors etc), everything works as it should. Well kept, never beat on or neglected, my cars are parked in my garages like they are parked on a showroom.
