Vintage 1974 Austin Mini 1000. Purchased new in 1974 from Gulliver Motors in Hamilton, Ontario Canada. Was a daily driver 1974 - 1980; then stored (indoors) until 1998. Mechanical restoration in 1998-99. Then driven regularly in town and on highways until 2001. Stored again in 2002 and has not had much attention since. Does not start right now, but turns over OK. Needs battery & TLC. Turns and rolls easily. Brakes seem fine. Damask Red factory paint. Original paint has some fading / some checking. Some rust on lower front and rear splash pans. Has been touched up where any rust appeared. Never wrecked. No rust under floormats or in trunk spare tire cavity. Undercoat is peeing off underneath, so it doesn't look pretty, but seems OK - except for damage I did on rear cross member when chain slipped pulling out of storeage. 100+ Mag Wheels. - original wheels also included. Custom steering wheel. - original steering wheel included. Interior Black Vinyl & Black carpets in great condition Incredibly fun to drive. Will be sad to see it go, but it needs a good and loving home. NOTE: Recently pulled from storeage in shed my Dad built for this car. Shed has elevated wood floor. It rolls with ease; brakes work well. Did not try to start it, but I'm sure it will need attention. Car is obviously dirty, but never wrecked. Grille was removed and photo shows grill 'standing in place', but not attached. Grille is in fine shape and can readily be re-attached. It is now being stored now about 100 miles from my house so specific questions may take some time. If unsold by spring, I will get it running and re-evalute selling and / or price.
