NEEDS WORK: 1995 Lincoln Town Car with 4.6L V8 Auto, full power, digital dashboard, white body with chrome trim. I bought this car in wonderful condition in August 2005. The body and interior are still in great shape, and it still runs and drives nice. However, you will want to fix the following to have a reliable vehicle: Rusty oil pan needs to be replaced: $800 Rear Air Suspension $1000 or spring kit installed $450 EGR valve will need cleaning $220 Washer fluid sensor needs to be replaced $100 More details: The battery will run down after several days. To fix this, I have installed a remote controlled switch to disconnect & reconnect the battery whithout having to open the hood. New battery. The cruise control and dashboard clock have quit working. Some of the brake lines are rusty. Some have already been replaced. More will need to be done in the future. The engine oil pan is rusty and leaks enough oil to leave a puddle. To replace the pan, the engine needs to be partly removed and raised. Sometimes the check engine light will come on. It's always the EGR valve, which I have had replaced twice. Currently the light is off, but the Ford dealer says the EGR valve could use a cleaning for $220. Sometimes during cold weather the antilock brake light comes on. Usually goes out again. Just recently the Check Air Suspension light came on. They say the rear air bags need to be replaced for $1000, or a spring conversion kit can be installed for $450. The washer fluid is full, but the Low Washer Fluid light is still on. Ford wants $100 to fix the sensor. Washer doesn't work with this light on. I have never been in an accident with this car, and all of us do not smoke. Seats are vinyl and drivers seat shows some wear, but no rips or tares. I did run over a small log that was hidden in the grass, which put a small dent on rocker panel just behind the passenger's side front wheel. The tires are in good shape. I have never had to replace any brake pads. The dual exhaust is fairly new. No leaks. The support bar under the transmission was replaced with a new one. Digital dash includes temperature gauge, fuel gauge, speedometer, and message center. AM/FM stereo with tape deck. Digital climate control center. Module has been replaced. The driver's side floor mat has a melted spot from where my hot trouble light was laying once while working under the dash. Currently has 186739 miles. Oil changed every 3000 miles. Some rust starting on rear wheel wells. Otherwise body in great shape. For an extra $50 I will include a huge book "1995 FORD TOWN CAR, CROWN VICTORIA, GRAND MARQUIS SERVICE MANUAL". It does not cover the Check Engine light or codes, but has about everything else. Owner's Manual is included with the car. Contact me anytime with any questions or to take a test drive.
