Vehicle Detail

What we have here is a project for a british car guy. This is a 73 tr6 that has been in a garage since 1991. The owner had the car since 1986 and had planned to restore it but passed away before he could. The car is super solid for a tr6 I have had a couple of them in the past and they were not this rust free. The only spots of rust are the two front fenders around the headlights and the passangerside has a dent in the same area. The floors are rock solid as you will see in the pictures. The frame also is solid. The only rust I found under the car is on the drivers inner rocker towards the front other than that nothing. And a little spot on the rear quarter by the trunk lid about the size of my fingernail. The car also looks like it might have the original paint and was never in an accident from what I can see. The car has been sitting so we drop the fuel out of the tanks, installed a fuel line from an external tank and an electric pump and fired it up, it runs great! The motor has no noise like lifters or aqnything it purrs. The hydrolic systems are done from sitting so the clutch and brakes are not working so driving it was not possible. The suspension looks and feels good the tires are like new with no dry rot and are michelin red lines but I have no idea how old they are. The inside of the car needs help the dash is in good shape with the only crack being by the radio face and is not part of the whole dash. The seats have newer covers on them but they had been placed over old foam and will need help most of the carpet has been removed I guess to keep the floors dry while in storage. The trunk is solid no rust even the paint inside looks good. The top is shot but the frame is still good. The gauges work from what we can tell and we found the radiator has a leak (probably the reason it was parked) so it will need attention. Overall this is one of the most solid triumphs I have seen in a long time so if you are looking for an easy project to drive this summer this fits! If you have questions please ask either by email from this ad or call me at 914 557 6130 thanks and good luck!
