Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a very nice 1973 Triumph Bonneville 750 that I bought out of a museum a few years back. The bike was in flawless show room condition and had zero miles on a rebuilt motor tranny ect, the bike was totally turn key and I felt like I was in 1973 buying a brand new bike. Since then I have used the bike in the summers for daily transportation and it has been very reliable and economical. It shows slight use now but cleans up really well. The two biggest concerns about the bike are that the seat trim onthe left hand side slips down off the seat (can see this in the pics) and the other issue is the RH rear turn signal bracket is broken, I have tried to fix it but I don't have the talent to weld it with my stick welder without destroying the chrome. A new grab bar will fix the problem. Other than that the bike runs and rides super well and smooth. Shortly after I started using the bike the pipes started to blue, I talked to several people who all said it was normal and if I was going to ride the bike I couldn't expect to have showroom chrome exhaust right at the heads anymore. However I have ran 100LL aviation gasoline in it ever since and it keeps the bike cooler and smoother and doesn't have damaging alcohol or ethanol in it. The bike has great power and I would ride it anywhere but just don't find riding as much fun anymore and I'm trying to sell some stuff to fund another big project. Check out my other items and feel free to ask questions or come out to see the bike. It will sell at no reserve so don't get trigger happy if you are not prepared to buy. Happy Bidding!!! Relisted due to buyer backed out. He came and left it because the front wheel is a reproduction and wasn't stamped Made in England but is correct for the bike. He also had the same concern about the front fender but wasn't sure. The bike is restored and very sharp but is almost 40 years old so don't bid if you want a bike with the very tires or seat or some other dumbthing that it rolled right off the line with in 1973. I'm sorry if it does not have the original speedo cable it had in 1973. Some things have to be replaced new for such a high quality restoration.
