Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 2001 VW Eurovan with 175k miles. Runs great. Features: new rear brakes (rotors and pads), new inspection, VW Tow Package with wiring, and full set of mounted snow tires with excellent treads: VW rims and hubs. Passenger side door has scratches from a car wash and cosmetically shows paint chips and abrasions from normal wear. We bought the car with 17k miles and it was serviced regularly. Check engine light is on; our mechanic has told us it is an emissions issue or an error and he advised us not to make any repairs. Car runs great: excellent handling, responsive and solid ride! One armrest is off the driver's seat; I have the armrest but I am missing the small part that goes between the seat hardware and the bolt in the armrest: a simple repair but I have been unable to locate the part from my dealer. Electric lock on slider door does not work, but it works manually. Interior upholstery shows soiling on vinyl parts, velour looks okay but with some light stains that shampoo might correct, and rug is generally in good shape but with some light staining. Van includes original Eurovan Matts but missing front ones; we don't use these matts instead we use generic rubber ones. Tires on van are Michelin and snow tires are Hancock. Detail shot shows complete bolt covers for rims not shown in overall shot. Also a complete new VW Exhaust System was installed about one year ago but in the past year we have only driven the van a few thousand miles. Most of the miles we have put on the van were highway miles. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. On Feb-01-12 at 12:11:52 PST, seller added the following information: I have had a couple of questions relating to condition of engine; I am not a mechanic, but I spoke to our mechanic after doing research on the internet and I had him do an oil pressure test and while he was at it I had him replace the oil pressure switch with a new one. At 2500rpm the oil pressure is perfect at 85 lbs and at idle it is 52 lbs. My mechanic stated that the oil pressure exceeds the minimum requirement therefore the engine is in excellent condition with excellent oil pressure. Also the tow package that is installed on the van has never been used; we bought the VW Tow Package and had an RV Dealership install it in pre-drilled holes in the frame and they did the wiring for it. We bought it with the intent of pulling our small aluminum fishing boat to a local lake but we never used it so the van has never towed anything. On Feb-01-12 at 12:20:52 PST, seller added the following information: Sorry the correct terminology for the oil pressure is psi. The pressure test done today was 85psi at 2500rpm and 52psi at idle. On Feb-01-12 at 12:39:17 PST, seller added the following information: For reference my mechanic told us the minimum requirement for oil pressure is 20psi so the oil pressure in this Eurovan far exceeds this.
