Vehicle Detail

Quick overview:This is a numbers matching vehicle all original California vehicle. It is an all original 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Gran Coupe Convertible. It has very little rust on it as it has been garaged nearly all of its life. It has power windows, power convertible top, factory installed air conditioning. Vehicle History:This vehicle was originally purchased in Los Angeles Ca where it was driven from 1970-1973. The history of its use in Los Angeles as well as the first owner are not known. The owner previous to me, who is a friend of mine, purchased it in 1973 with around 30,000 miles on it. She put 200,000 miles on it over the years and kept it in a barn behind the Catholic church in Lee Vining Ca. I purchased it from her around 2005 where we pulled it out of the barn, pumped up a tire, checked the fluids and it started right up. I have been driving it a few times a month ever since. I have recently moved to the Sacramento area and the vehicle now has 236698 miles on it. Engine:The engine is the 318 V-8 which originally came from the factory. Upon arrival it was rated at 230 horse power and 320 foot pounds of torque from and it still has plenty of power today. This engine has never been rebuilt. Transmission:This is the original automatic transmission that came from the factory. It has never been rebuilt and it is in excellent working order. Paint:The original paint color of the vehicle is red, however it was a slightly different red than the color you see here. Interior:This vehicle has the high back adjustable bucket seats. The interior carpet has been covered with indoor/outdoor carpet. The seats are complete, have no rips, but do have some stains. Known Damage:Vehicle was once dented on the left front quarter panel. The damage was isolated to the quarter panel and it was replaced with a new panel. The vehicle was once backed into a downed tree which created a dent in the panel behind the driver's side rear tire. The previous owner had a body repair man remove the dent and repaint it. There are small cracks in the grill, the dashboard has some cracks, and there are stains on some of the seats. Rust:I have had many people over searching for rust on the car and the only rust anyone has been able to find is in the truck of the car. Everyone who has seen it says that it is only surface rust. Stuff that does not work:The blower does not work for the A/C so I don't know if the A/C works or not. There is a tail light out even though the filiment is there. There is a significant time delay between low beam and high beam. Clock on dash does not work. Recap:All Original, Numbers Matching, 1970 CONVERTIBLE Barracuda. This is a 42 year old car so it is not perfect but if you are looking for a nice drivable convertible muscle car with some major potential then this is the car for you. If you are looking for a solid minimum rust project car to turn into a $100,000 plus hemi cuda clone then this is the car for you. It looks great from 10 feet away. Payment and PickupPayment needs to be made within 3 days of the purchase of the vehicle. You are responsible for having the vehicle picked up. I will help out wherever I can.
