Up for sale is one beautiful, well cared for M3 Convertible. The E36 M3 is one car every auto enthusiast should own at some point in their lives. These cars have exceptional power to weight ratio and the suspension is world class, enabling this car to out handle most new performance cars. At its inception, the E36 M3 was named Car and Driver magazines "Best Handling Car at Any Price". One drive and you will see why. Beyond the performance aspect, the superior engineering of the car is evident in the longevity/reliability of these cars as well as low cost of ownership(unlike the newer versions). I have personally seen other M3's of this era with over 200k miles and running as good as new. This is currently my daily driver and I wouldnt hesitate to drive it anywhere in the country tomorrow. For a convertible, it is extremely quiet inside the cabin. Comes equipped with Harmon Kardon premium sound system,CD changer,HID headlights and heated seats. Did I mention it is also great on gas? This particular car gets 29mpg on the highway and I currently average 23mpg combined. Here's a quick rundown of the the condition. NEW ITEMS INSTALLED IN THE LAST TWO WEEKS: List of everything done in the last two weeks:Radiator Radiator Hoses(both upper and lower) Thermostat Thermostat Housing Water pump BMW Coolant Idler Pulley Tensioner Pulley Serpentine Belts 4 Brand new Riken Raptor Tires(factory staggered sizes) Complete Alignment Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil Change Drivers Seat gears Fog light housings and lamps(NOTE: Pictures were taken before these were installed) Exterior: Exterior I would rate 90/100. Absolutely no signs of rust anywhere. Underbody of the car is extremely clean with no leaks and no rust as well. Front bumper has some minor rock chips here and there but less than most of the same mileage. Front tires are 80-90% but the rears are down to about 20% Interior: Interior is very clean and shows absolutely no signs of ever having been smoked in. Still has the classic "BMW smell" to it. Leather is in good shape except for the drivers seat bolster has several tears and some foam missing(not noticeable while sitting in it). As with any Dove Gray interior of this generation, it could stand to be re-dyed. No damage to the dash panels. All electronics work perfectly except for the power convertible top. The top was working perfect when I first got it but since disconnecting the battery to replace the seat gear, the button is blinking and it won't operate properly. The motor has tested fine so that leaves one of the sensors needing to be replaced. The top can still be raised/lowered manually without any problems. The convertible top itself is in good shape with no tears but has the weathering you would expect for the year/miles. Note: the little white specs in the photo are from a cottonwood tree and will be gone. The passenger airbag icon is "on" on the dash from when the window regulator was replaced but have the sensor on the way to eliminate this. No other lights on the dash at all. Mechanically: The engine runs EXTREMELY strong and the transmission shifts perfectly in unison. No odd noises and does not smoke at all or use oil. Suspension is tight and quiet, keeping this car glued to the road. Brakes could stand to be replaced soon as it causes a slight shimmy upon application(not bad). As mentioned before, I drove the car back from Arizona and would have no hesitation in flying in and driving back to either coast.
