For sale at No Reserve auction is a 1929 Model A 4 door sedan that I have had for about six years and used for my daily driver except for in the winter. This is the most solid 4 door Model A that I think you will find anywhere. I have not found an ounce of puddy or signs of body work anywhere on the car, bring your magnet! I did bend the right front fender once but fixed it and resprayed it. I have put lots of miles on this car and has been very reliable. I've put a high speed rear, 36% overdrive and a high compression head in the car. I can keep up and even pass on the highway! However, I am NOT including the overdrive in this sale so bid accordingly. You can purchase it for an additional $3k on top of the final sale price. What I will do is sell the car with whatever rear end ratio you desire. There is standard, high and super high, I think the super high would give plenty of speed but you won't be able to split shift like you can with the overdrive so if you live in the hills I would go with the regular high. This past summer I took the car off the road for a month for the following work. Instaled rebuilt motor New generator and regulator (not cut out) looks original and even ford script Leakless water Pump New white wall tires all the way around except spare new modern brake shoes (stops really well even at 65+mph) New coil and rebuilt distributer New wiring harness from generator to junction box to switch Instaled good used front cross member (old one cracked from fatigue) New headlight buckets and reflectors, glass, ect. I have put about 6k miles on the car since the above work and a few things still need done. The windshield needs a new seal or replaced...cant see putting the old one back in. Vacume wiper works ok but don't expect it to work like a modern car. Front end needs king pins and bushings but maybe only if you are going to drive it above 55mph on a regular basis. The paint was driver quality when I bought it but really does need redone now. You can see in the pics where I have touched up the spots that flaked off and keep flaking off. This was only to preserve the super solid body it has, sorry for the poor color match. It is hard to find a 4 door that the wood in the doors didn't soak up dampness and rott out the car so I wanted to preserve the body at all costs. I can repaint the car for about $3K and it will look very nice but not 100 point show car...talk to me about it if interested. The interior is super nice, curtains roll up and down well, headliner in great shape and I never put the front carpet in it until today so it wouldn't get destroyed. There is some sort of woodgrain material on the interior trim that maybe looked nice in 1929 but is flaking off now too. all the windows roll well and all the locks work properly. Steering has very little play for a Model A. This is a real nice running super strong and solid Model A that I had no intentions of ever selling when I did the work above but things have changed now. I wouldn't sell the car except my life has taken a new direction and need something I can get a large toolbox in and pull a trailer. Also I need the money for a big project I have.
