1988 Jeep Cherokee Loredo 4x4, Auto, 4.0L I6310K, Motor and tranny still strong despite mileage.The Good: Body in good shape for ageStrong solid motor and trannyStarts every timeDecent interior for ageSony detachable face CDNice wheels from a Jeep WranglerNew Brakes/hardware all around, new starter, serpentine belt, battery, all PCV vacuum hoses less than 5000 miles agoAs of 10/19/11 - New distributor cap, plugs, wires, ignition module, ignition coil and pickup coil, MAP sensor, O2 sensor, air and fuel filter, oil and filter change. I have receipts.The Bad:May need power steering pump.(might just be a hose) Works fine and is quiet with full fluid, but it leaks.Windshield is crackedPower locks and windows need lubed but all function.Didn't pass emissions/running too rich4x4 works good but doesn't always engage left front wheelNeeds driver side door lock cylinder(about $12.00 at any parts store)Needs tiresThis is a solid vehicle in reasonably good shape for age and mileage. Still runs strong but needs a little work.Could be a great off road/hunting rig or everyday driver.
