I hate to get rid of this car, but I have no choice. This is a 1968 Beetle convertible, with a 1500 cc engine that has only a couple of hundred miles on it since being rebuilt… by a professional VW shop, not by me. The fiberglass fenders are not original, and the left-rear one has a crack. Tires are good, and the steering gearbox is new. Needs are gaskets around the side windows, and the shop said that the bearings may need some attention soon. The driver-side headlight needs a bezel. I can upload pictures, but the frame is not a rustbucket (some surface rust underneath, but not structural). Also, there is a little bit of chatter from first gear on takeoff. The top is in great shape. It was installed a couple of years ago, without ever being stored outside. The rear window was installed by a professional after I got frustrated with it J Good luck bidding!
