Vehicle Detail
This is a Ferrari race car developed from a 1977 308 frame and cab in 1990 by Jim Carpenter as his personal racer. Jim went on to build and develop four more like this one. Car has never been wrecked. I was in the process of transforming the car to a "club car", which is a little more suitable for the street, the way Enzo liked them. Declining health forces sale. There are over 300 pictures available of the build and recent restoration. Engine is a European 1976 dry sump 308. Weighs a little over 1900 lbs with nearly 300 hp. Brakes are JFZ, matching seats are Kevlar OMP Ferrari Challenge, new Momo steering wheel, fuel cell, trans cooler, rear deck is F40 style raising in one piece, body is fiberglass, clear title can be street registered, racing log book, SCCA, IMSA, GT2, wheels are GTO three piece racing widths, the list goes on and on. The car needs to have the new doors mounted along with a few other very monor modifications completed to enable street driving as intended. Priced for immediate worldwide sale. This would finish out to the absolute pinnacle of Ferrari club cars. A complete history and more pictures of everything including the engine rebuild are available on request. Car is currently located in central Florida for the season. On Jan-06-12 at 02:03:37 PST, seller added the following information: *****Buy-It-Now Bonus Package***** if you use "Buy-It-Now" I will include my Ferrari library with the purchase of the Ferrari. The library will be shipped with the car in a box carefully packed inside the car because the weight should be approximately 75lbs. The Ferrari library will include 20+ Ferrrari hardbound books (many rare and out of print), 5 softbound books, some Cavallino magazines, Rosso Ferrari magazines, Ferrari World magazines including the first issue (F-40), and numerous Ferrari videos. All are in excellent condition. The library took years to collect from all over the world and will be a joy to own for the true Ferrari enthusiast. The library cost $3,000+ to assemble.
