The picture is NOT the actual picture of the vehicle, but gives you an idea of what the vehicle looks like. Until the fender-bender the kids were involved in last week, I drove this car to work every day. The only reason I don't drive it to work now is "vanity" -- because the tag is being held on by a string and the hood is dented (not fully closed). The kids are too embarrassed to take it back to college (although they are having no problem continuing to drive around while home for winter break). The strengths are that the car gets 30 MPG, it runs well, the heat works great, and the windshield wipers work well. If you want to get from here to there and are okay with the fact that the windows don't roll up and down (I have to open the door when I go through drive through window), the AC doesn't work, the sound system doesn't work (and when it did, the speakers were horrible), the sunroof leaks, the frame inside the doors is rusted, and the two front tires have a slow leak (they were recently installed and I just haven't had a chance to go back to the mechanic so I bought a portable pump and have to put air in the tires every 3 days). This is my third 1996 Saturn SL2. The first one got over 316,000 miles and only failed because it was driven for too long without any oil. The insurance company totalled the 2nd one. Kids, you've got to love 'em!
