Vehicle Detail
1964 Triumph Bonneville Custom Engine & Frame #: T120RDU12125 As the 1960s dawned, Triumph's larger twins remained recognizably similar to the first Speed Twin of 1938. Unitary construction of engine and gearbox was already a feature of the 350 and 500 twins though, and that innovation duly appeared on the 650s in 1963. The café racer's favourite since its launch, thanks to lusty acceleration and a top speed approaching 120mph, the Bonneville continued in this new form as Triumph's top-of-the-range sportster. The bike offered is this highly desirable and very collectable matching numbers Triumph Bonneville of 1964 vintage. The bike was mechanically restored including “going through” the engine and gearbox, and all cycle parts. It runs great with responsive engine, good brakes and suspension. It starts within a couple of kicks. Cosmetically, the bike is in excellent condition. The tank and mudguards are freshly painted in black; chrome is very good (minor loss around steering damper and scuff on headlamp ring), tires are practically new. The bike has been modified in to a semi-desert sled look with short pipes with an excellent black finish, an aluminum oil tank, etc. The bike is on an out-of-CA State title, but had its original black license plate, so could be returned to that plate and accompanying registration with relative ease.
