Vehicle Detail
I assure you if you buy this car you will be grinning ear to ear everytime you set your eyes on this car and you will be impressed when you crank and cruise. I'm bought the car to drive on the weekends. Since the purchase I got hurt at work and need surgery to get back to work. Unfortunately I worked for a company with no insurance or workers comp. So now this car has to go to feed, cloth, and keep a roof over my childrens heads.. I've been raising them alone for 3 years, I'm 26 years old. I have been a car enthusiast since birth it would seem. This is a very good investment for anyone who can keep the car or knows where to properly sell classic cars. Its worth over 15 thousand dollars. I do not have any time to wait or i would sit on it until i found the right buyer. New parts: Ignition Coil, Wires, Cap and Rotor. Spark plugs and k&n air filter. Mobil 1 oil. All 5 Belts brand new. New Alternator and A/C System(Compressor, Condenser, Hoses ect.. Blows cold!). Everything electronically and mechanically works perfect. Lincolns most luxurious car to date. The sunroof works flawlessly. Trunk is immaculate. Have new top trim piece for the leather top, in the trunk. There is a small spot under the driver side backseat port hole window, that has been painted recently, its a small imperfection in a otherwise pristine car. I've gotten an estimate on the paint repair @ $500. Exhaust is absolutely silent. It runs so smooth you can lay a silver dollar on the Air Cleaner and it will sit still while you drive around the block. Anything you would like pictures of you can ask and i will go take them and send to you. There were only 2500 Blue Diamond Jubilee's produced. It has a wonderful smell inside almost like a new car. No smoking has been done in this car as far as i can tell. All 5 ashtrays are very clean and still have all 5 push-in lighters. The CB radio still works as well as the mechanical antenna. The headlight air mechanisms all function properly. There are three locking consoles, two in between the driver and passenger seats, and one on the passenger side dash, uses its own key. The 8 track player still works. I'll even throw in the Pat Benatar tapes that have been in the car for who knows how long. This is in near show stealing condition. The dash and vinyl top have been baby oiled since birth in 1978, well it at least seems so. I've owned over 30 cars and i've never driven anything quite as comfortable and pleasant to be in and cruising. Simply nothing compares to how luxurious this car is. Crushed velvet seats and cushion everywhere all still soft and clean. I could go on for ever. The NADA price is 6500 for LOW RETAIL, 11,009 for AVERAGE, 25,500 for High retail. This car is well over average. I've taken into consideration of the small paint spot and any other signs of age the motor has in appearance. This car turns heads and gets full attention when in public places. Everyone who has seen this car, car enthusiasts included, says they've never seen a Mark V run so smooth and well preserved as this one. I wasn't looking for a car when i bought it. Its definately a piece of luxurious history. Smoke free car. I bought the car from a Pastor in Pensacola, FL. He kept it in his garage very well maintained. He bought the car from a collector who had it in a warehouse. Please pay with paypal or contact me if you would like to send a cashiers check. The responsibility of shipping will be up to the buyer, but i will do everything i can to help. The Wiki: 1978 "Diamond Jubilee Edition" Lincoln Mark V Diamond Jubilee Edition Ford Motor Company celebrated its 75th year in the automobile business in 1978. To commemorate this Ford produced two very special automobiles as limited editions. The 1978 Continental Mark V was one, the 1978 Ford Thunderbird was the other. The Mark V version truly was limited with production of just 5,159 cars. To set it apart from the ordinary Marks, the Diamond Jubilee was available in just two colors: Diamond Blue and Jubilee Gold. Whichever color you chose, it would be repeated throughout the car. In addition to the special Clearcoat paint, the vinyl-insert bodyside moldings, vertical bars on the grille, bumper guards and rub strips, turbine-style cast aluminum wheel vanes, and padded vinyl deck lid kickup with matching vinyl-insert lock cover were all coordinated. Additionally, the operational exhaust vents on the front fenders held chrome beading. Interiors were the most luxurious ever installed to date by Lincoln in a production car. Also matching the exterior color scheme, the interior featured front bucket seats with a padded center console. The console provided extra storage, and came equipped with an umbrella built into the underside of the padded armrest. The seats were upholstered in luxury cloth with a unique sew style. Other distinctions included padded leather in high wear areas of the interior, as well as ebony wood-tone inserts on the instrument panel, door trim panels, front seat backs, and console - even the ignition and door keys held a matching ebony wood-tone insert. All Diamond Jubilee Marks were supplied with a leather bound owner's manual and tool kit. The outside edges of the opera windows were also beveled, and featured Diamond Jubilee Script and a simulated diamond chip laminated between the glass. The unique hood ornament featured crystal-like inserts within the Lincoln "star" emblem. After delivery, the customer could choose to have his or her initials monogrammed on the doors, interrupting the bodyside stripes. Most Mark V optional features were standard on this car, including the new digital "Miles-To-Empty" fuel gauge that calculated approximately how far the car could be driven with the remaining fuel in the tank, based on fuel level, driving speed, and fuel consumption rate.[13] Every new owner was given the special car keys and could request a Ford created cookbook entitled "Ford Diamond Jubilee Recipe Collection" See all options chosen
