This is a good running vanagon, 1983 Volkswagon. It is the 2.0L aircooled model with 4 speed manual transmission. It had just had a new cylinder head put on due to lower compression on one side, now runs great, idles well and just passed emissions with flying colors in denver, colorado. The van has a cheap paint job, but is cool in its own way... Camo German Style. This volkswagon recently spent $850 on cylinder head and tune up. .. I will set a reserve very VERY close to this number. Has short throw shifter installed. Shifts great, no exhaust leaks and sounds great. Purrs and starts even in negitve degree temps. tires have good tread. Has a few things here and there to take care of small oil leak, windshield crack, drivers seat has a tear. needs sway bar part (bushings), sunroof is not opening but doesn't leak!, Middle seat taken out for room. I can fix these but then you wouldn't get such a deal! The vanagon is in the top 10 modern classics by popular mechanics this year Same body as the popular Syncro vanagon. Their value is going up! If it doesn't sell, I will repaint and enjoy next spring. But would like to have some extra money to cover presents this year too. ENJOY, happy Bidding!
