Vehicle Detail

Vintage Old School Drag Buick the Former P&G car from Pennsilvania or New Jersey area. 1970-72 Buick Skylark Street or Drag Strip Roller (No engine or Transmision) This is a’70’s Buick 2dr Hardtop Skylark that was built for drag racing probably sometime in the 1980’s at least guessing by the vintage “P51” hood scoop. It has lots of potential to be restored or resurrected into a really fast street or strip Big Block Buick GS or GSX Stage 1 or Stage 2 clone. It was formally raced with a 455 Big Block Buick engine and T400 transmission. It also has a hard to find GM manual steering box and finned GS front drums and safety features like drive shaft hoop. It has been tubbed with a narrowed 12 bolt axle with Strange axles and 4.56 gears and spool mounted via ladder bars and some old school wheelie bars. It has 15x4 and 15X 14 Weld Drag Light wheels with fair street tires on them. The black interior has a roll cage and two light weight bucket seats and carpet.. There is no back seat it has been replaced with aluminum panel. The body is decent and the paint is fair as seen from a distance of 20 feet.. This car has been lightened every where they could and even has all the glass replaced with Lexan or Plexiglas, which have clouded up so bad over the years sitting around that they will need replaced. It does not have the inner fender wells. It has a battery box with heavy duty cable runing to the front and fuel cell in the trunk and it has a really big BG fuel pump. It has a Fairbanks shifter for a Turbo 400. I bought it several years ago to make into a really fast 10 second KING STREET Buick drag car but have decided not to pursue racing as a hobby anymore. I have replaced the missing front end parts with a 1971 front bumper, grill and head light bezels as you can see. I am a licensed Colorado Used Car dealer so I'm selling it through my business even though it was one of my personal project cars.. It is a non-running project car. I do not have a title for this car. It is being sold with a bill of sale only. I'm relisting it again after I had high bids of $3250 and $2650 because the bidders never paid for it. In the mean time I have researched the cars history more. On V8Buick.com a got a bunch of respones and pictures of it racing in the late 1980's. Check it out a http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=226159 You can see that the side graphics are the same even thought the vynl roof is gone and they changed the hood scoop. It looks like they are the same wheels and wheelie bars. Car is sold as-is. If you have questions feel free to ask . Please refer to the pictures for additional information. GOOD LUCK and HAPPY BIDDING ! Car is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end auction at anytime. Shipping- Buyer is responsible for shipping and all shipping costs. I have bought and sold several cars on eBay so I’m willing to help get it loaded on what ever shipper you use. Any questions please email me and I’ll get back to you a soon as I can.
