Vehicle Detail

Ladies and Gentlemen--Oldsmobile Lovers--LQQK!!--Just arrived for the holidays!!First Time Offered on Ebay--What an Opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind Oldsmobile Convertible with a great history, impressive documentation, and all for a low price. It's only original once!!Rarely do you find a low production original convertible with a slim chance of finding another one like it. Up for auction is an original stunning 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible with only 95k original documented miles. I bought this car from the original owner who always kept it in his garage and out of the elements. He stated that the car has never seen any inclement weather and never left outside overnight; it shows. It has the dependable 330 cu. inch V8 engine, Powerglide Trans., power steering and power top. The car runs and drives beautifully. Photos cannot capture the true beauty of this original convertible painted in the original color (code R, Spanish Red, Dupont #71583). The top is in very good condition, no tears, works perfectly and comes with the original matching boot. To look better, I could of repainted the undercarriage and the engine; found some touch up paint; cleaned and polished some of the odds and ends but I wanted to present this car on Ebay exactly as I found it. It has the original interior, original carpet, original door panels, original antenna, original spare; original glass; just about all original. There is absolutely NO RUST/NO ROT in this car. The floor pans, frame rails and trunk, are in excellent original condition. In fact, all of the body/frame bushings are like new, they are not even cracked after all these years (photos can be provided). The dash looks like new with no cracks anywhere. Even the center horn button looks like new. The entire vehicle was inspected by an ASE mechanic, including a compression check of the engine. All mechanical components were found to be in excellent condition. There are no leaks and the engine does not smoke or burn any oil. Within the past few years, it appears that the previous owner had the carburetor rebuilt, along with new shocks, new radiator, new hoses, belts and water pump. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. In my opinion, this is a great survivor; a great car for the road and show. When was the last time you saw one of these anywhere? It has a clear title. Please come see and drive it for yourself. Drive it home!I failed to mention that this Olds has tons of documentation dating back to 1967. It includes: the owners manual, the 1967 GM folding top operation manual, the 1967 Oldsmobile Owner Protection Plan in the original wrapper with the Protect-O-Plate, the dealer pre-delivery inspection and adjustment check sheet and a vast array of Virginia State Police inspection certification (pink) sheets dating back decades ago. These pink inspection sheets (see photo) document the mileage and it is correct (95,654 miles). NO DISAPPOINTMENTS!!Classic convertibles, in this kind of pristine original condition, are almost impossible to find these days!!If you've been waiting for a one-of-a-kind convertible to come along then don't let this one get away; avoid disappointment and future regret. This is a "Low Reserve" auction. Check my Ebay history; I have strived to maintain a perfect feedback rating over the years. I'm not an expert on the value or condition of these vehicles, and therefore, my opinion of a vehicle may not be the same as yours. This car is not perfect and I don't claim it to be. Even though I always include photos of the undercarriage, I suggest serious bidders come examine this Olds, or have someone come and inspect it to make sure you know what you are bidding on before you bid. Also, inspection services with a detailed report are available through www.cars-on-line.com Note: I'm not a dealer. I'm a retired engineer and throughout my travels--I only buy and sell those vintage classic cars that are 100%rust free (see photos). Please feel free to ask any questions and any inspection is always welcome. The car is presently stored in a fully equipped garage with a commerial lift--so inspection of the undercarriage is not an issue. We'll be proud to show you this incredible time capsule. All trade offers are welcome and will be considered. It's a good idea to get an estimate of the shipping costs ahead of time and that can be obtained from www.autotransport.com use zip code 21054 for the starting point. I will make sure that the transporter you select is the same company (person) who physically picks up the car. In that regard, I will take and send you photos of the transport rig, its license plate/driver and the car being loaded, including its securement and placement on or within the rig for your piece of mind. Should you have any questions, please call Bill @ 410-271-6800 or Mike @ 301-943-1602. VEHICLE TERMS:The car is sold AS-IS with no guarantee/warranty either expressed or implied. Successful bidder pays $1000 down payment (PayPal is preferred) for the vehicle within 48 hours of bid close and should make arrangements to pick up the car within 2 weeks of auction close. Seller releases all responsibility for the car upon receipt of payment from bidder. Buyer will assume all responsibility for said vehicle, including but not limited to liability. Seller has the right to end the auction early. On Dec-19-11 at 05:15:19 PST, seller added the following information: NOTE: I've received several emails asking about the small red light on the left hand side of the dash next to the steering wheel. The red light comes on when using the emergency brake. Like everything else on this car it works perfectly. It looks really cool when it's on. The listing ends on Christmas Eve. This car will make a great Christmas gift for someone. Good Luck in Bidding! On Dec-21-11 at 06:35:38 PST, seller added the following information: NOTE: I've received several emails asking about the condition of the tires and if the car can be driven. The tires are not the original ones that came on the car from the factory but they are the original size 14" and they are brand new. The spare tire is a bias ply tire and looks to be the original that came with the car. In fact, the bumper jack, tire iron etc. is original and looks like new. I would not hesitate to try this car anywhere--it's that good. Good Luck in Bidding! On Dec-21-11 at 13:39:36 PST, seller added the following information: NOTE: I've received several emails asking me if the car is equipped with either a 2 or 4 barrel carburetor. The car has the original 330 cubic inch engine with the original 2 barrel carburetor. According to the original owner, the carburetor was completly rebuilt last year. It still has the original metal tag on the front of the carburetor. The numbers on the tag are: 703-7052. The 330 cubic inch engine with the 2 barrel carb. is rated at about 300 hp. The 1964-67 330 engines were the only small blocks to use a forged steel crank. Good Luck in Bidding! On Dec-21-11 at 17:18:10 PST, seller added the following information: WARNING: I have not made any attempt to offer this car for immediate purchase to anyone via a second chance offer or via a "Buy It Now" price or by any other means. It has always been my intention from the beginning to continue this listing, without any interruptions, to the very end (Dec. 24, 2011). If you receive an email to purchase the car before the end of the listing, please contact me at 301-943-1602 (Mike) or (Bill) at 410-261-6800 immediately. We will, in turn, contact ebay security. Thanks!
