Up for auction is a 1930 ford model a coupe.The person i bought the body from had installed the patch panels around the whole bottom of car,they are ok but not professional.The top has been chopped 5 inches.It has a 1952 ford flathead with 3 speed shift on column manual transmission.Frame was 2x4 square tubing with 4in.Z in front and 14in. kick-up in back,the front part of frame was tampered down an inch.Also has custom gussetts welded on frame.It has a heavey bulit 4 link setup in rear,with panhard bar.The frontend was a 4in.drop axle kit i got from speedway and came with the whole brake setup.Car has all new brake lines and they stop on a dime.For steering it has a new reverse covair box.I also bought a do it yourself lake-style header kit from speedway and installed which sounds great(does not have baffles in).The rearend is a 12 Bolt Posi out of 69 camero.It has airbags in rear that you have manually air up(NO COMPRESSOR).GM one wire alternator.The wheel and tire are 5.60x15 WW in front and 7.50x16 WW in back,the hubcaps are orginal 1937 ford dogdish.The motor came out of a 1952 ford truck that one of my friends had.It had been in his family since the truck was new and he said motor had not been rebulit or touched,with regular oil changes.I have driven the car back and forth to mississippi several times and all over Tennessee with no problems and also had it at Daytona for the Turkey Run,VERY RELIABLE CAR.motor does have usual blow by and does smoke occasionlly,but it is 61 years old.i changed all gaskets and cleaned oilpan and oilpump pickup.I installled an OFFENHAUSER 3 duece intake and OFFENHAUSER heads on the motor,brand new water pumps and fuel pump from speedway.For the gas tank i used stock tank,it has been creamed on inside and has no leaks and works great.It has bench seat and door panels which were made by my wife and can easily be removed.The front window does fold out nicely,car has all glass except for the doors.It has a removeable button down top that was made for it by a local shop.This is a turn-key car,get in and drive,basically everything on car is new except for the motor and tranny.
