I bought it new from the from a Pontiac dealer in Trenton, NJ in 1964 – (see photo of original bill of sale) I drove the car for about 6 years and put it in a garage - Continued paying rent on the garage for 32 years without seeing the car again. About 6 years ago I pulled the car out and had it restored. It is completely stock, as it came from the dealer - All numbers match and the interior is original and very nice. (should have new carpets and head liner) It even has the original service booklet with Ident-O-Plate (see photo). The original AM radio is in the car but does not work, everything else works perfectly. All wiring and plumbing was replaced as were most of the suspension pieces. The engine is the Pontiac 389 with 3 Rochester carbs with progressive linkage (original and numbers indicate). (It is an original power steering delete and original power brake delete car.) It has a 4 speed with Posi rear. The rubber is, obviously all new and the paint is good. I have used the car sporadically for the last 5 years so there are the usual very minor and very small little chips and dings here and there. The original mileage is in the mid 70,000 which is a true mileage – I am the only person who has ever driven the car. Other than the first 6 years of it's life, the car hasn't seen much usage. There are some extra hubcaps and some other stuff that goes with the car. If you are looking for that great looking, great driving GTO this is it - On the other hand, if you are looking for that documented GTO to turn into a show winner THIS IS IT.
