Vehicle Detail
0 0 1 475 2713 Goodman Reed Corporation 22 6 3182 14.0 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE - 1966 Mercedes 300SE Coupe (W112) - VIN: 11202112009604, 115K Kilometers, 71k original miles - Exterior is finished in factory correct Horizon Blue (Paint Code DB 304). Paint is gorgeous with only negligible imperfections, each too minor to appear in any of the pictures. - Interior has been professionally restored in its original correct Dark Blue (code 979) leather. Immaculate condition – seats, carpets, panels, dash and headliner are all flawless. - All of the chrome is original and in great condition, marred only by two very soft dings in the rear bumper. As you can see, they are minor and hardly show up in the pictures. - Much of the rubber has been replaced and it is all in excellent condition. - All of the glass is in great shape – no pitting, scratches or cracks. - Completely rust-free. No evidence of any rust or rust repair. Undercarriage is completely original and in excellent condition. - Color matched original wheels and hubs are wrapped in white-wall tires with less than 1,000 miles on them. - Original Becker Europa radio. - Rare early Behr Air Conditioning unit – works perfectly, blows cold. - Always a California car. Prior owner was the Service Manager at Downtown Los Angeles Mercedes. Consequently the car has had a pampered existence, receiving all necessary maintenance as well as a rebuilt engine and transmission. The car runs beautifully, starting right up without any smoke or hesitation and pulling strongly and smoothly through each of the gears. This is as solid a 300SE as you’ll come by. - One of just 497 300SE Coupes produced in 1966. Only 2,419 300SE Coupes were ever produced, making them by far the rarest of the W111 Coupes – even rarer than the 280SE 3.5. The 300SE’s engine was based on the original engine out of the legendary 300SL Roadster and Gullwing and it shared the air suspension with the 300SEL sedans and the exorbitant 600 limousines – top of the line all the way. Please feel free to email me or give me a call at (805) 886-1823 if you have any additional questions or would like to make a deal. While I have a California dealer license, I’m not your typical dealer. I’ve always had an appreciation for classic European cars and have always bought and sold them to create a kind of very small revolving personal collection, which, up until this posting, has contained the 300SE you’re currently looking at. I try to give accurate descriptions of the cars I’m selling, but I’m not an expert and I encourage and am happy to help facilitate personal or professional inspections. But please do so before bidding, as the alternative harms my ability to make sales with other interested parties who have done their proper due diligence before bidding. For U.S. buyers a 10% non-refundable deposit is required within 3 days of the auction's end, the balance to be paid within 7 days of the auction's end. Foreign buyers must pay in full within 7 business days of auction’s end. Buyer is responsible for shipping, however I'd be more than happy to help with recommendations and arrangements. The car is listed locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time should it sell prior to auction's end. Thanks for your interest.
