Vehicle Detail

LBC Moto Up for bid is a 1972 CB750 Café racer. The entire bike has been disassembled and rebuilt from the ground up; no part was left untouched. Every part has been painted, polished, or just thrown out and replaced with a new one. No fancy CNC billet parts here, just old fashioned grit, sweat, and grease. The end result I think speaks for itself. This bike is a real ground pounder; she may not be as nimble as her smaller siblings, but she makes up for it with raw power. FRAME The frame is un-molested; it has all original tabs intact. The frame, swing arm, battery box, seat hinges, kick stand, etc, have been powder coated. It has new tapered steering bearings. The bike has been rewired with a new fuse box; it has kick and electric start. The ignition and starter switch have been relocated. I kept the stock controls for a classic look but the switches are just for looks. The forks are rebuilt and the rear shocks are new. WHEELS & BRAKES The hoops were painted Hot Rod red and laced to polished hubs with new spokes. Brand new Bridgestone Spitfire tires were mounted for one simple reason; rubber is cheaper than plaster. The master cylinder and caliper have been rebuilt and polished. They joined together by a steel-braided brake line. MOTOR The motor was disassembled and the inspected. It has new rings, gaskets, and engine seals. The cylinders were honed and the valves have been lapsed. It also has a new cam chain tension pulley. Why? Because it’s 40 years old and should be replaced regardless of what it looks like. I’ve found that metal can stand the test of time, but rubber doesn’t. The carbs have been rebuilt, jetted, and synced. The cam and stator cover have been ground smooth removing the ridges and logos to give it a cool custom look. The points, starter, and clutch cover are custom carbon fiber. It has new points, plugs, oil, and oil filter. BODY The tank is stock. The seat is made by Nostalgia Cycles (Steve Carpenter). It uses the stock hinges. The tank, seat, fender, and side covers have been professionally painted custom metallic gray with a touch of pearl; the stripe is hot rod red to match the hoops. If you have any questions please feel free to ask, I really don’t mind. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can put down what I’m working on and clean the grease off my hands. Final payment must be paid by cashier’s check, or wire transfer only. I DO NOT accept Paypal for the full purchase price. I put a video of the bike on photo bucket.
