Vehicle Detail

I first stumbled across this all original unmodified Fox body Mustang GT back in September of 2003 at a local car show here in Maryland. At the time it was being sold by the brother of the original owner with a little over 116,000 original miles. I could not take action that day but I assisted a friend of mine in purchasing the car. About six months later in April of 2004 I bought the Mustang and added it to my collection. In June of 2005 my parents moved to South Florida and I drove it to Florida in order to properly store the car in the garage under a cover. The Mustang was exercised on a regular basis and maintained religiously utilizing only Ford parts. In December of 2008 while at the local Ford dealer in Florida having the door striker and fuel filter replaced I spotted a 2008 Mustang Bullitt and bought it on New Year's Eve. The 1991 Mustang lost its spot in the garage to the Bullitt and in January of 2009 I sold the Mustang to my friend's dad. At that point the Mustang moved back to Maryland and lived outside for a little more than two years. This past summer I bought the Mustang back and ever since then I have been bringing the car back. I changed the oil using Mobil 1 synthetic which has been used throughout the Mustang's entire life. The bad news is that this is one of 10 cars for me and I currently have a 1986.5 Toyota Supra listed so you get to decide which car I keep! As stated previously this Mustang is all original and comes with its original window sticker, original build sheet and every single maintenance record and factory sales brochure. This Mustang has always been owned and cared for by mature adults and this car still drives like a car with half its mileage. There is no rust or accident damage. There has never been any paint work performed on this Mustang. The undercarriage is looks great and has all of its original red paint with no curb shots or dents or flaws. All of the buck tags and original stickers are present. In the 8 plus years that I have known/owned this car the mileage has only gone from 116,xxx to 135,xxx and most of that mileage was accumulated from 4-5 roundtrips to Florida. This 1991 Mustang GT began its journey to Crystal Ford in Silver Spring, Md. on May 31, 1991. The build date shows as June 6,1991. According to the window sticker this Mustang was painted "Bright Red" and equipped with a "Titanium Leather" interior. The pre-delivery service record was completed on June 22, 1991. In the folder the EFI starting procedure tag was saved along with the manual transmission reverse gear engagement procedure tag. The Mustang was sold on June 26,1991 to its original owner. The original invoice and financing contract is still present in the receipts folder. All of the original dealer service claim check tags have been saved as well. During the first two years the originial owner made a few trips to South Florida and there are Ford dealer service receipts from Vero Beach, Fl. In 1999 at 69,956 miles the original owner's brother bought the car and the Mustang moved from Virginia to Maryland. The Mustang does have a couple of items that should be addressed: the headliner began sagging and my friend's dad pulled most of it out--the front section is still present; the factory radio does not work--the display works but there is no sound; the cigarette lighter does not work. Recent maintenance highlights include the following: 7/1/11: 133,820 Oil and oil filter change with Mobil 1 10W30 and FL-1A filter (I always remove both oil drain plugs when changing the oil) 8/24/09: 130,964 My friend's dad complained of a rear end noise and the shop overhauled the differential and installed new clutch packs and installed a new Carter fuel pump as well as new rear wheel bearings--these are the only non-Ford parts to be found on this Mustang 12/31/08: 129,330 New driver's side door striker and new Ford fuel filter installed. 12/29/08: 129,310 Oil and oil filter change with Mobil 1 10W30 and FL-1A filter. 12/26/08: 129,259 New Motorcraft battery installed. 10/20/05: 128,869 Oil and oil filter change with Mobil 1 10W30 and FL-1A filter. 08/08/05: 128,721 New Motorcraft distributor cap, rotor, motorcraft Before I bought the Mustang the second owner replaced the following: outer tie rod ends, end links, ball joints (June 2003), battery cable, water pump, radiator, radiator hoses and heater hoses, fan clutch, heater core (February 2003). Now for some pictures: The link to the photobucket album is here: On Dec-08-11 at 06:30:49 PST, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that the alternator has been replaced with a new Bosch unit back in 2004 at approximately 118,000 miles. On Dec-08-11 at 18:37:05 PST, seller added the following information: Here are some additional pictures of the service records: Here is the headliner area: On Dec-13-11 at 07:53:37 PST, seller added the following information: "It looks quite evident that someone is pushing the bid up ?" --sent by circlecarsales on 12/13/11 See my response below.
