Vehicle Detail
1969 Plymouth Road Runner !!You are bidding on a 1969 Plymouth Road Runner..I can't say enough about this car. This vehicle belongs to my father and he purchased it about 7 years ago. This vehicle has been well taken care of it's whole life. If you desire a real American Muscle Car then keep reading!!My father of 71 years old has always had a keen interest in classics his entire life ranging from General Motors, to some Ford but mostly classic MOPAR. He has been an avid collector but only to hold on to the vehicles worthy of holding on to. This is where this beautiful Road Runner comes in. He realizes that this car is made for performance but he in no way has put it to the true test. This vehicle was built to perform as it has an over sized cam and who knows what other goodies in may have internally. Plymouth built this car with a 383 High Performance but we can tell by its sound and history tells that it has been slightly modified. Where it was initially built to have 335 hp from the factory, this vehicle exceeds that with ease... This vehicle is as original as a 1969 could possibly be in this decade. Yes, it more then likely has been repainted at one time, and yes the tires certainly have been replaced as it has newer tires of less then 1000 miles on them. My father has only driven it to shows and on clear rainless days. He has enjoyed the vehicle for a number of years and since he's owned it has only seen rain just one day, at a car show. This vehicle features what we believe to have the original interior however see in the pics that this past summer has experienced some headliner damage due to mice. There is no visable damage to the seating or wiring to the car, just the headliner (see pics). This vehicle also features the original air grabber system including the ever so sought after air cleaner cover. I could not believe how sought after the Coyote Cover was. For not having a frame off restoration I would, and others agree, that this car is in fantastic shape and it runs drives and performs exceptionally!!I hate to even sell this vehicle for my father because I personally would love to own it however I don't have the place to put it and it simply is not a priority for me. He would love to free up the space for a 1966 Chevy 409... I guess we are dealing with a man who knows what he wants..LOLI want all bidders to consider the following:The title states Odometer discrepency. This is probably not true. The person my father purchased the car from years ago didn't go out and check the odometer when transfering the title. He apperantly didn't realize how important this would have been years down the road when the car became valuable. My father doesn't know if the motor is original but has been offered quite a bit of money just for the motor from people who knew the engine and what has been done to it perviously. He at one time was offered a 426 hemi swap. My father declined. Althouh I am my fathers son we both share a keen interest in classics. I am not here to misrepresnt anything. This vehicle we feel rates a 2-3 in the OLD CARS REPORT, I in no way would consider it top rate Barrett Jackson material but for it being virtually original, would consider it a Super Solid Car for not being a frame off restore. I understand some of the most interested parties in this car will be taveling great distinces and possibly from out of the country, I in no way would mislead you. I have sold other valuable cars from the USA to Europe. I understand integrity is important and again, I in no was would misrepresent. ( Check My Feedback ). Some people may ask is it a 10 footer?... I personally would say yes, however everyones interpertation of a ten footer is different. Again, for this vehicle not being a frame off is one of the best virgins anyone could ask for for being 43 years old. There are no signs of any body damage ever. Everything is solid on the car. No Door sag ( very heavy doors ), Absolutesly no pitting on chrome or stainless steel, door seals are not dry rotted, all glass is orignial, and I believe the carpet is original. The terms of sale are as such:....
