TITLE: Clear Kentucky title in hand with a VIN that matches. VIN: 123379N603436 and it matches the title. I HAVE 2 OTHER CAMAROS ON EBAY MOTORS, THEY BOTH ARE VERY NICE CARS, just click on the link for other items for sale. FACTS OF LIFE:::: My decription of the car is a little different than you usually read on ebay. I don't sugar coat it, I'm a mechanic and write it more like a mechanics inspection, "not like a car dealer showroom add". This is a very nice car, it looks great and runs like a Roadrocket. This is not a roll out of the trailer perfect $80,000 show car its just a super nice car to drive and enter your local car show. My listing makes me sound like a hard old man, I'm a lot easier to deal with than the listing makes me sound. I'm not interested in any type of trake, I have sold every car I have ever tried to. I do not run cars on auctions, its usually a big joke, guys just have thier buddies bid the car up to what they want. I will tell you my lowest price and my asking price and you can buy or keep looking. HISTORY: Here is what I think to be true and was told. A guy in Lexington, Kentucky starting restoring the car. It was a take everything apart rotissorie restoration. He spent over $45,000 on work on the car. He gave up because hiring the work done was costing too much. A dealer in Nicholasville, Kentucky bought the car and did some things. He then sold it to a dealer here in Tennessee that did a few things to the car, the bigest was the wheels and tires. I bought the car from him and fixed lots of things: Several lights did not work, the speedometer was bad so I we put a new one in, the gas gauge in the new tank was not connected, the valves were adjusted a little tight so we adjusted them, the dip stick tube was leaking so we put a good after market in, the kick down cable was leaking a little so we put a new one on, several gounds were not connected so we connected them. They had the car looking good, but it needed a mechanic to make things work. WAS THIS A ROTISSORIE RESTORATION? No documentation, but it looks like one to me, its not a show car nut and bolt job, but I do beleive the body was on a rotissorie, the underside looks good, but not show car perfect, it was built to drive, "the quality of the work looks good". IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS? None that I can find, no rust bubbles in the paint and the underside looks nice. IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find. WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR? I’m a retired mechanic/auto-mechnic instructor/was a Army helicopter mechanic and instructor. When I find a truck or car I like for a good price I buy it fix things and resell for a fair profit. IS THIS A SUPER SPORT? Probally not, but I'm not an expert and it looks right to me. Please come and inspect and make your own decision. IS THIS A ORIGINAL YELLOW CAR? I didn't look up the paint code, but everywhere you look it looks like one. All the door jambs and undersides are painted very neat. IS THIS A MATCHING NUMBERS CAR? I'm 100% sure it is not matching numbers, the engine is fresh 383 cubic inch storker and my guess is the transmission is not original to the car, buy I love it the way it is, I have been told this car came with a 6 cyclinder from the factory, this is very common, its hard to find a good body thats not a rust bucket so lots were done this way. IF YOUR A PUREST THAT LOVES EVERY MARK, CLAMP AND PIMPLE TO BE THE WAY IT CAME FROM THE FACTORY: This is not the car for you, if you want a car that is a road rocket, has the real Muscle Car look, is mechanically a good car and somebody else spent over $45,000 on it, this may be the car for you. DID I RESTORE THIS CAR? No, I bought it looking good, fixed some things and am reselling for a fair profit. PAINT: Daytona Yellow Paint! The car is straight to look down the sides, it has no dents, no cracks and no bubbles. I consider this a good paint job, you will find some specs, some tiny flaws if you look with a critical eye, only one small ding in the valence under the front bumper. The car has never been color sanded, this is when you water sand with a very fine sand paper and buff to a high gloss, it slicks the paint down and makes it shine like a high end show car. You see very little orange peel or real defects outside in the sun, but under my bright garage lights you will see some, color sanding will take car of most of that. The paint is base coat with 3 coats of clear over it. This is not a roll out of the trailer show car with a $20,000 paint job, its just very nice to driveand go to your local car shows. The door jambs and under side of the hood and trunk are painted good. I did touch up a couple of chips, they are hard to see. CHROME: All the chrome and emblems are new! INTEROR: All new interior, including the headliner, consol and dash pad. The steering wheel is a new after market. UNSERSIDE: Nice, clean and neat, not show quality, but nice. GLASS: All the glass looks new, they must have put a new glass kit in. It has a dark tint and all the weather stripping looks new. ENGINE: The engine is new! Is a 383 cubic inch stroker that runs like a rocket, I do not know the builder. It has no unwanted rattles or blue smoke. It has a medium hitting cam, its idles good, it has a very nice lope, I think its just right. When you put a bigger cam in you loose vacuum at low RPMs, the power brakes work on vacuum so they are harder to apply. This does not bother me, but if it does you its easy to put on a vacuum storage tank or a vacuum pump on. The rockers are rollers, I do not know the cam specs, it has timing gears "no chain", this is good, but you here a whine, "this is normal and lots of guys love it". You will not complain about the engine, you will need to let it warm up a little, its old technolegy. EXHAUST SYSTEM: Great sounding dual exhaust, it has the real Muscle Car sound, its loud and deep, the headers are full lenght tubes the pipes are large "maybe 3 inch", it has turn downs behind the musfflers. TRANSMISSION: Its a Turbo 350 three speed automatic that works right, it has a shift kit to make it shift firm, the torque converter fills like about 2500RPM stall. With out a stall converter you would have a hard time idling with a big cam. REAR-END: Its a 10 bolt with no whines or growls. I will check the ratio and post it, but its good for the street, its not real low. BRAKES: Good, they are disc on the front and drums on the rear, they are power assisted brakes. The vacuum to the booster is low because of the big cam, I do not have a problem with it, but if you do you can put a supply tank or vacuum pump on. STEERING: The cars drives very good, its power steering. WHEELS AND TIRES: The radial tires are new, the rims are new 18 inch. LIGHTS: They work, turn signals work, headlights work, tail lights work, the marker lights work, the gauge lights work, the dash lighs work, the dome is working. GUAGES: They all work! They are old school in a pod under the dash. SPEEDOMETER WORKS, we had to put a new one in, but I saved the old one for you to see ! WIPERS WORK! HORN is working, the switch is on a horn button under the dash beside the steering column! THE GAS GAUGE IS WORKING. The radio is not working, the one in the hole looks new, but the car has no speakers. I did not finish it because guys have differnet ideas on sound systems and you can get them installed anywhere. HEATER: The car has a heater box, but no core and no motor. Past owner was going to install a Vintage Air and Heat system in the car. I would do the same thing if I keep the car. Depending on the brand system and the upgrades a system can cost from $1,200 to $2,000. I think most air conditioning shops will install for $2,300 to $2,600. HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE? The hood and trunk open and close good, the doors have to be closed hard because of new weather stripping. GOOD STUFF: The car looks great, it runs like a demon with the 383 cubic inch stroker, new chrome, new glass, things work and you don't have to do anything unless you want to. BAD STUFF: 1.Good paint, but not perfect, it could use a color sanding and buffing. 2. No heater. 3. Needs sound system. 4. Probaly something else I missed. WHY DON'T i FIX EVERYTHING: Time is the main reason, I have 2 other projects started and more stuff works on the car than most you will get. TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just to hard! The rest of the information is boring unless you are really interested in buying the car, its just buying details like shipping, paperwork, who I am, where the car is located and how to pay and contact information. CONTACT INFO: my cell is 423-506-8987, I do not answer when driving, while meeting with people, after about 8:00 PM Eastern Time or on Sunday morning or Sunday nights. Please leave a voice mail and I’ll get back. I do check my emails several times a day. cell 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com PAPERWORK: I know what to do! WE DO NOT HAVE A SHOW ROOM WITH OVERHEAD! We are just a father/son 2 man operation, but we are a Tennessee licensed/bonded car dealer and have sold cars all over the US and exported many. THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION, THIS IS A FIXED PRICE LISTING: I reserve the right to stop the listing at any time and sale the vehicle “come look”. I RESERVE TH RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR SALE ON THE LOCAL MARKET. WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED: The car is here at my garage in Athens, Tennessee. Athens is in east Tennessee, we are 50 miles south of Knoxville. Look at a Road Atlas and follow interstate 75 south from Knoxville. I live one mile and one turn from the interstate exit. My zip code is 37303. The closest large airport is Knoxville. Athens does have a good small airport, but has no commercial flights. WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM: My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of Athens, Tennessee “Athens is called the friendly city”. We are located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee. I am 65 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 39. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. For 12 years I was an auto mechanics instructor at Tennessee Technology Center here in Athens. I am also a veteran of the US Army; I served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic, crew chief and instructor in the late 60s, I did spend a year in Vietnam. I’m Southern Baptist faith and proud to be an American. I’ve been married to the same good woman for almost 42 years. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE! TRANSPORT: EBAY MOTORS gives 3 instant transport quotes if you click on the link on my listing. US OR EXPORT “the best”: Classic Car Transport, LLC located in the Kansas City area: This is a very good company that will handle any type of transport in the US or overseas with the white glove treatment. Call Jeremy Whitley at 913-749-0936 "You can google Classic Car Transport and read about them". Email jeremyw@classiccartransport.com MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for Athens, Tennessee is 37303. I live 1 mile off a major interstate (I-75) and 35 miles south of interstate 40, so transport is usually very fast. PAYMENT: I require a $250 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car. I will take this by PayPal, but not full payment. Option 1: Pay the old school way face to face. Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the check clears, I have had a fake bank certified check. Option 3: The safest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a member of the US Federal Reserve, this is called wire transfer. INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 64 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are unpredictable, you might get a good one, but most of them do not impress me at all, most really don’t know what to look at, they make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself. I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first! TRADES: Please no trades! BOTTOM LINE: My firm lowest price is $24,850 and I'm asking $26,850 on the local market. The game is not rocket science, ask a price and come down. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My firm price is the Buy Now price. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down. I will take a couple of hunderd off if you buy direct, this is mostly the ebay sells fee saving, but you can hit the buy now button. PLEASE!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! Come look at this vehicle. Please don’t hit the Buy Now button unless your ready to really buy it! Do your research, call me with questions, read my feed backs, I am ebay verified; this means they say I’m a real person in a real place. I WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A LOT OF NERVE AND PLEASE DON’T BE A CRY BABY. Read the ME section on the upper right hand part of the listing marked seller info. Thank You, Ron Watson cell: 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com IS THERE A WARRANTY? No!
