Vehicle Detail
Offered for sale is an gorgeous example of a 1964 Porsche 356C Coupe. This car has all of the right things going for it: - Two owner car that's always been in California. (It still has the pink slip!)- Absolutely no rust or rust repair.- Completely original pans and longitudinals.- Original numbers matching engine with freshly rebuilt carburetors. - Excellent panel fit throughout with no evidence of any accidents or body work. Having just returned from a brief weekend trip up to Monterey, I can happily relay that the car is an absolute joy to drive. It drives and brakes straight, starts easily, idles consistently and pulls strongly through each gear with excellent compression. Winding down Highway 1 on a sunny Sunday afternoon was fantastic, but the car also performs flawlessly tearing through the canyons or tooling around town. It turns heads everywhere it goes and presents extremely well. The paint is consistent with plenty of depth and luster and is marred only by the most insignificant of imperfections (rock chips, etc.). All of the chrome and glass is in great original condition, as is the interior. The seats show no tears or wear, the carpets are in good original condition, the dash and headliner are both excellent and the car has an original functioning Blaupunkt radio. Finding truly rust-free, numbers matching 356s is getting harder and harder and their values continue to increase. This represents an excellent opportunity for anyone in the market, from true Porschefiles to basic weekend enthusiasts. Please bid accordingly. We want this car to go to a great home, so please feel free to email me or give us a call at (805) 886-1823 or (805) 708-2404 if you have any additional questions. Thanks for your interest. GOODMAN REED MOTORCARS. You can visit us online at goodmanreed. While I have a California dealer license, I’m not your typical dealer. I’ve always had an appreciation for classic cars and have always bought and sold them to create a kind of very small revolving personal collection, which, up until this posting, has contained the Porsche you’re currently looking at. I try to give accurate descriptions of the cars I’m selling, but I’m not an expert and I encourage and am happy to help facilitate personal or professional inspections. But please do so before bidding, as the alternative harms my ability to make sales with other interested parties who have done their proper due diligence before bidding. For U.S. buyers a 10% non-refundable deposit is required within 3 days of the auction's end, the balance to be paid within 7 days of the auction's end. Foreign buyers must pay in full within 7 business days of auction’s end. Buyer is responsible for shipping, however I'd be more than happy to help with recommendations and arrangements. The car is listed locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time should it sell prior to auction's end. Thanks for your interest.
