1973 Honda CB 500 Four"Super Sport 500"All OriginalLow ReserveLow MilesBIDDING STARTS AT .99 CENTS! Up for sale is a beautiful 1973 Honda CB500 four recovered from a San Francisco bay area estate. The CB500 was introduced in the early 1970's as a smaller better performing version of the legendary CB750. The 48 hp CB500 four was manufactured for three short years before it was changed to the CB550 making the CB500 four a rare find esspecially in this kind of original condition. Being a 1973 model it was equipt with more options including an enlarged instrument panel that was tilted towards the rider. This fine 500 four is an awesome bike that you can cruise the open road with ease or conquer the twisty back country with authority. Don't miss out on this special opportunity to own this "Super Sport 500" that is priced to sell with a very low reserve. Cosmetically this 500 four is in excellent condition, from the Maxim Metallic Brown teardrop gas tank to the classic chrome 4 into 4 exhaust system. Not only does the tank have a timeless look it is in very nice conditionThe paint shines like the sun, there is a small area by the cap with light clear coat fade. There is no major scratchesor dents. There is one minor ding on the front right. The side covers are top quality with absolutely no dings or scratches. All the chrome is in beautiful condition and shines with a mirror like finish. All the alluminum from theengine to the wheels is also in very good condition with a beautiful finish. There is a few spots on the engine with minor oxidation of the alluminum, very common with vintage motorcycles. The tires are original and functionalbut should be replaced before extensive use. The original seat is in perfect condition with absolutely no rips ortears. There is nothing missing from the bike is has 2 mirros and all of it's turn signals. It also comes with abeautiful California BLUE liscense plate. Mechanically this super sport 500 is in good shape. The engine runs nicely and the 5 speed transmission shifts through all the gears with out any clunking. Being a bike that has been sitting for a very long time the carbs should be cleaned out for optimum performance. It will not idle on it's own because of this, it will start up with the electric and kick starter and is fully capable to run smoothly. Both brakes are functional as well as all of the electrical. The rear light does not work I have not looked at any of the wires to see if there is a bad connection. With a solid carb clean this should be a reliable daily driver. THIS RARE VINTAGE SUPER SPORT 500 MOTORBIKE IS IN WONDERFUL ORIGINAL CONDITION. A PERFECT CANDIDATE FOR A WEEKEND ENTHUSIAST OR A AVID COLLECTOR OF CLASSIC HONDA'S. DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS OPPORTUNITY TO OWN THIS BIKE AT A VERY LOW RESERVE!!! Additional Information, Please Read Before Bidding Please only bid if you intend to buy.
