Vehicle Detail

1969 CAMARO.....Z28 COPY....NO RUST PROBLEMS 350 V8 ENGINE+++4 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION NICE RED PAINT+++NICE BLACK INTERIOR...GREAT CHROME...CLEAR GLASS MILEAGE: 26591 reading and I'm sure another 100,000, but its a restored car. TITLE: Clear TENNESSEE title in hand. VIN: 124379N664335 IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS? No rust that is causing any problem, the bottoms of the doors and rockers under the doors look great, the bottoms of the front floors have been replaced, the job was good, but I can see the seams. The only rusted place I see is the drivers side inside rear drop down, the thin vertical sheet metal is rusty on the lower part, its behind where the exhaust turns so its hard to see. IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find. WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR? I’m a retired mechanic/auto-mechnic instructor/was a Army helicopter mechanic and instructor. When I find a truck or car I like for a good price I buy it fix things and resell for a fair profit. IS THIS A Z28? No! No! No! It is a nice copy and the price reflects it. IS THIS A ORIGINAL RED CAR? I didn't look up the paint code, but everywhere you look it looks like one. All the door jambs and undersides are painted very neat. PAINT: The car is straight to look down the sides, it has no dents, no cracks and no bubbles. I consider this a good paint job, you will find some specs, some tiny flaws if you look with a critical eye. The worst place is like on a lot of other Camaros, where the roof is connected at the factory they used lead, I can see some little defects in this area. I would not fix it, but some matching paint is in the car if you want to. The door jambs and underside of trunk and hood are painted very neat. This is not a roll out of the trailer show car with a $20,000 paint job, its just very nice to drive and go to your local car shows. CHROME: All the chrome is nice and the emblems very good. INTEROR: Good interior, not new but good, good head liner, good carpet, good seats, the dash has no cracks, the drivers arm rest has a patch on top and I see a rough place on one of the back panels below the window. UNSERSIDE: Nice, clean and neat, but not for show, its built to drive, you can see the replacement floor panel seams. GLASS: The glass all looks very nice, no cracks or no wiper marks, the windsield looks new as well as the rubber weather striping. The side windows roll up and down good. ENGINE: The engine is a strong running 350, it has no blue smoke and no unwanted nosises, it has a new 4 barrell Edelbrock carb, new hoses and belts, the cam is mild. EXHAUST SYSTEM: Great sounding dual exhaust, it has the real Muscle Car sound, its loud and deep, the headers are full lenght tubes that are ceramic coated. TRANSMISSION: 4 speed manual, the clutch is smooth with no slip. REAR-END: Its a 10 bolt positive traction, it is a low gear 4.10 to 1. It has no bearing noises, no growls, it does have a whine, but not bad enough for me to replace. I don't like a gear this low, but lots of guys do. BRAKES: Good. STEERING: The cars drives very good, its power steering. WHEELS AND TIRES: The front wheels are 18 inch and the back are 20 inch, the wheel and tires are good. LIGHTS: They work, turn signals work, headlights work, tail lights work, the marker lights work, the dome works. The Z28 headlight buckets are not working, the builder did not install the actuators, you have to open them by hand. The actuators are available through several suppliers. GUAGES: They all work! They are old school in a pod under the dash. The charge light is still working in the dash, not the pod. SPEEDOMETER WORKS ! WIPERS WORK! HORN not working! THE GAS GAUGE IS WORKING, we put a new sending unit in the tank! Heater fan works, but is on a toggle switch under the dash. The radio is working, but not a high quality unit. HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE? I think the doors fit and open very good. GOOD STUFF: The car looks great, it has a 4 speed manual transmission and you don't have to do anything unless you want to. BAD STUFF: 1.Good paint, but not perfect. 2. Parking brake cable is bad. 3. Heater fan switch is on a toggle switch under the dash. 4. Headlight bucket have to be opened by hand. TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just to hard! The rest of the information is boring unless you are really interested in buying the car, its just buying details like shipping, paperwork, who I am, where the car is located and how to pay and contact information. CONTACT INFO: my cell is 423-506-8987, I do not answer when driving, while meeting with people, after about 8:00 PM Eastern Time or on Sunday morning or Sunday nights. Please leave a voice mail and I’ll get back. I do check my emails several times a day. cell 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com PAPERWORK: I know what to do! WE DO NOT HAVE A SHOW ROOM WITH OVERHEAD! We are just a father/son 2 man operation, but we are a Tennessee licensed/bonded car dealer and have sold cars all over the US and exported many. THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION, THIS IS A FIXED PRICE LISTING: I reserve the right to stop the listing at any time and sale the vehicle “come look”. I RESERVE TH RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR SALE ON THE LOCAL MARKET. WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED: The car is here at my garage in Athens, Tennessee. Athens is in east Tennessee, we are 50 miles south of Knoxville. Look at a Road Atlas and follow interstate 75 south from Knoxville. I live one mile and one turn from the interstate exit. My zip code is 37303. The closest large airport is Knoxville. Athens does have a good small airport, but has no commercial flights. WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM: My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of Athens, Tennessee “Athens is called the friendly city”. We are located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee. I am 65 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 39. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. For 12 years I was an auto mechanics instructor at Tennessee Technology Center here in Athens. I am also a veteran of the US Army; I served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic, crew chief and instructor in the late 60s, I did spend a year in Vietnam. I’m Southern Baptist faith and proud to be an American. I’ve been married to the same good woman for almost 42 years. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE! TRANSPORT: EBAY MOTORS gives 3 instant transport quotes if you click on the link on my listing. US OR EXPORT “the best”: Classic Car Transport, LLC located in the Kansas City area: This is a very good company that will handle any type of transport in the US or overseas with the white glove treatment. Call Jeremy Whitley at 913-749-0936 "You can google Classic Car Transport and read about them". Email jeremyw@classiccartransport.com MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for Athens, Tennessee is 37303. I live 1 mile off a major interstate (I-75) and 35 miles south of interstate 40, so transport is usually very fast. PAYMENT: I require a $250 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car. I will take this by PayPal, but not full payment. Option 1: Pay the old school way face to face. Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the check clears, I have had a fake bank certified check. Option 3: The safest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a member of the US Federal Reserve, this is called wire transfer. INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 64 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are unpredictable, you might get a good one, but most of them do not impress me at all, most really don’t know what to look at, they make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself. I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first! TRADES: Please no trades! BOTTOM LINE: My price is $26,300 and I'm asking $28,300 on the local market. The game is not rocket science, ask a price and come down. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My firm price is the Buy Now price. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down. PLEASE!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! Come look at this vehicle. Please don’t hit the Buy Now button unless your ready to really buy it! Do your research, call me with questions, read my feed backs, I am ebay verified; this means they say I’m a real person in a real place. I WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A LOT OF NERVE AND PLEASE DON’T BE A CRY BABY. Read the ME section on the upper right hand part of the listing marked seller info. Thank You, Ron Watson cell: 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com IS THERE A WARRANTY? No!
