Details on the Toyota pick up truck are as follows; **THIS VEHICLE HAS A BAD FRONT PINION BEARING** **THIS VEHICLE HAS A BAD FRONT PINION BEARING** There is a good possibility that there is other Rear differential damage as well ie; Ring and Pinion Other Bearings This is reason for selling Truck and I am sure that it will still serve as a great work/plow truck for whomever it goes too. That is the worst of the truck. From what I can tell it looks like the front pinion bearing over heated and seize in it race due to the visible hot area marked on the carrier casing. I did not open up and look inside. Did look up a few rears on eBay and they range from $400.00 to $800.00. Just a center section would run for a one on eBay they ran around $400.00 The only other thing That I find Really Wrong with the truck as usual there is a leak in the Gasoline return line. Small drip drip drip drip... I am pretty confident that the leak is NOT a leak from the pressure side of the fuel system. This is what I have found as I inspected the truck; The owners of the truck stated that they had a NEW not rebuilt starter installed as well as multiple (4) brake lines repaired (due to leakage) along with a new master cylinder. The Brake pedal is very good and tall and all the brakes work great. Estimated time left on front brakes about 70% and rear brakes about 60%. Emergency Brake works as well. The Truck had a power steering leak that was repaired at the time of the brake work. (Looks Like The Hose from the power steering pump to the steering box) This fix is only temporary. Rockauto.com Has a power steering pressure hose from Gates part # 370180 16mm Banjo 16mm Male inverted Flare X 67 11/16 long. Part is $50.79 Plus shipping The Heat works well in the truck no coolant leaks and water pump works fine. Radiator was checked and coolant is good for -25F. The exhaust system was replace and muffler and tailpipe are good. The pipe that connects to the muffler from the cat conv. has a crack at the flange, 5 minutes with the mig welder will correct this situation, or you can replace the pipe itself. The exterior of the body has it usual spots of rust all the doors open close and the windows roll up and down as well as the locks lock with the key as well as the gas filler door operates with the key. There is one small fing in the passenger front fender as well as the passenger side front skirt. The tailgate works as well as the handle for the locking mechanism works well also. There is a bed liner in the pickup bed with a tailgate protector in place. The Rear bumper has a push on the passenger side and the front bumper has 2 rust holes showing thru. The front windsheild has no chips or sand pitting or cracks the two opera windows open and close and the latches are in working order, The rear sliding window opens and closes and the latch is in working condition. The windsheild wipers work but the blades NEED to be replaced. All the Lights work Parking Turn Stop signals are all in working order. The Hazard lights function correctly. The Tires are 4 matching tires with 85% useage left on all 4 (used one season plowing and lite highway driving) The size is 225 X 75 X 15R B.F. Goodrich T/A Long Trail Radial The Drivetrain works in all aspects and the wotor is very strong. 4wd is fully operational Front Hubs are in working order as well as the floor shifter works with the light for the 4wd light on the dashboard when engaged. The engine does not smoke or idle rough it is a strong running 3.0 V-6 NO Ticks Taps or foreign noises. Oil and filter change is due in 1200 miles. Steering is tight in vehicle and with no sloppiness or play in the steering. Shocks were replaced approx last spring. Truck comes with Fisher 6.5 ft Snow Plow Quick Disconnect System. The Control is mounted on the dashboard and it is operated by a joystick. It is Electric Solenoid hydraulic. One of the plow lights nedds to be replaced The housing is broken (Sets on ebay $149.00 and Fisher Brand New their are less expensive models) The Mount is in excellent shape. The Plow blade needs some work It has seen better days but still pushes snow. Used Blade assemblys on ebay $150.00 and under ALL THE PISTONS FOR THE UNIT ARE FULLY OPERATIONAL. I am sure that the unit needs to be looked at for operation this season. Worked at the end of last season, but wire for on/off solenoid needs repair. Plow is in the up position and ready for transport.
