I have for sale a 1961 Opel 1700 Rekord Olympia. It has a 1.7 4-cylinder engine in it with a 3-speed manual transmission on the column. It runs and drives but the starter and generator need put back on the motor and the bushings for the 3 on the tree are getting pretty worn out but it still works. It is guaranteed to run. It has the 6-volt system in it. It has a good clutch and great brakes. It has descent tires. The car has 70,500 kilometers on it or roughly 40,000 miles on it. Everything on the car is in kilometers. This car was elderly owned by an old German woman who brought it over here from Germany by ship. I have the original brochure for the car but it is all in German. The car has recently had some body work done on it but it could use some more. The car has some bondo in it that could used smoothed some more to make it look quite right. It isn't some bondo buggy but it does have some bondo in it. The car has all the trim to it besides two "L" emblems for the rear quarter panels that weren't there when I got the car. Some of the trim is on the car and some of it still needs put on. The interior needs some upholstory work done to the seats and some of the interior needs put back together but it is all there. There is no carpet in the car. All the glass is in good shape with no cracks or breaks. It has a very solid trunk and new floor boards. The underside of the car has some rust such as the cross rails on the frame have some rot but it is repairable. The car has a good gas tank and gas lines with no leaks.
