1966 Ford Fairlane 500 convertible. 390 V8 4-speed. Only 48,632 original miles. In storage 22 years. Engine is original but has been sitting as a short block for many years and will require rebuild. Everything operational when put into storage. Please see pictures for detail of condition. Excellent project vehicle. Arizona car originally. Did research on VIN. With production sequence of 100023 may be the 1st soft top convertible Fairlane produced. No records of line production data prior to 1967. Ford confirmed that this vehicle was driven by a Ford executive after built and prior to being sold by the Ford dealer. Again, please see pictures for condition. I tried to show everything I could. Thanks for your interest. On Nov-27-11 at 12:57:15 PST, seller added the following information: To answer some questions I've been receiving: I do have the engine, transmission, driveshaft, etc... (not in the car currently). The intake manifold w/carb was misplaced when moving the car from the storage facility (do not have). I do have the air cleaner assembly. I've had the car in storage since 1988. It was re-painted and re-upholstered prior to 1988. Vehicle came from Arizona originally. The convertible top is black and the heat in phoenix dried it out. The convertible top fabric will need to be replaced. Vehicle has never had body work done that I can see. The driver side foot well did get wet at some point and caused a few pinholes in the floor pan. Foot well is still sturdy but will need to be repaired. ** If you give me your email address I'll be more than happy to send you additional pictures.
