1992 Jeep Wrangler 4X4 - 4 cylinder, Manual, PS, PB, Heater, 4.88 Gearing. NO A/C. This was my wifes "summer" toy. She has now moved on to a Jeep Commander because it has the seating she needs for the kids and it is easier to haul her paddle-boards. And now I have to many vehicles (insurance,taxes, etc). This is a fun, reliable, high mileage Jeep. Paint/Frame - Frame is in incredible condition, zero rust. Tub inside is rhino lined. Brand new BestTop top. Paint is fairly new (2 years old) but is a mediocre quality job that was done before I bought it. Looks nice in the pictures and from 10' but up close you can see pits, dings and blemishes. Seats and dash have a lot of wear. There doesn't appear to be any rust bubbles. Mechanical - 4 cylinder does not burn a drop of oil. Has good oil pressure (40psi) and never runs hot. No leaks anywhere. 4 wheel drive works but has rarely been used. It is lifted but I am unsure of the amount, maybe a 2" shackle with a 2" body lift. New springs and shocks. It is still SUA. Brakes and lines are new. Wheels are steel rims with almost new 17X33 BFG MTA tires. New exhaust. The less then perfect items; 1. Transfer case whines but it has done that since I bought it. Some gears gears are almost silent (3rd), others whine a lot (1st). 2. No e-brake, didn't have it when I bought it and I never installed one. 3. Rear bumpers. Some locales are going to insist you put some kind of rear bumper on. 4. Rear Pinion gear. It does not leak any oil but I do think it has a flat spot in the bearing. It makes a clicking noise when you freely spin the rear axle. I had the rear differential fluid changed and the mechanic couldn't see anything wrong (no metal in the fluid) but it is something to be aware of as you drive it. 5. Electrical gremlin. There is a short somewhere in the gauge cluster. You can go weeks at a time no problems and then it shorts out 3 times in 3 days. I just keep a box of fuses in the glove box. When it blows a fuse the gauge cluster (oil psi, temp, gas level) reads zero and it only seems to do it when you first start up. It is an old Jeep that still runs pretty solid but it is not flawless. Bid with confidence. If you win this Jeep you can take up to five days to come inspect it.
