Vehicle Detail
Honda CB750 special. Modified 1981 CB750. This bike has been recently built (450 miles ago) from the bare chassis and everything has been seen to. This one has the awesome 4 valve per cylinder screamer engine that has been left stock (only 27000 original miles). Other than replacement of the gaskets, spark plugs and complete service it is original. Of course the stock carbs have been rebuilt with new jets and gaskets. It runs super strong, smooth and reliable. I would not hesitate to ride it cross country or anywhere for that matter. It does not leak a drop of oil at any time. Here is a list of most of the work done (there is not enough space to list everything) : Frame shaved of unnecessary brackets, sand blasted and painted semi-gloss black (same paint as stock) including the swingarm that has new bushings. A lot of time was spent cleaning every part of the bike before assembly. Everything was cleaned, replated, painted or replaced with new or rebuilt parts. The wheels have been rebuilt with new stainless steel spokes and fitted with a new Dunlop front and an almost new rear. It has a new DID o-ring chain installed. It has a new clutch cable and lots of stainless steel hardware. The forks have new seals and are off of a Honda GL1000, they are stronger than stock and have the option of adding or removing air pressure to adjust the ride to suit the rider. The GL1000 dual brakes have been added also. The exhaust system is the super high quality stock system that is solid and rust free and sounds really good, and not too loud. The bike is electric start, the battery is located under the custom steel body panel behind the seat that is 3/4" foam cow hyde leather covered on top of a 1/8" inch formed aluminum base that holds the main battery on-off switch and starter button. Turn signals are incorporated on the handlebar ends and are controlled by a custom switch on the bars that work the horn and headlight hi-lo beams also. The taillight has a clear lens with red LED elements that glow red when running light or brake light is applied. The custom gas tank and tail panel have been painted with DuPont base over clear paint system. A new Honda fuel petcock valve is installed. The bike is surprisingly fast (no doubt the light weight helps) and easy to ride. Easy starter and reliable as can be. It has electronic ignition fitted stock from the factory. The voltage regulator and ignition modules are under the seat on their own aluminum base. If you like the bike and you buy it you will definitely have a unique, one of a kind ride that is a blast to ride. Clear Title included. $500 deposit by paypal due within 24 hours of auction and the balance due no later than 5 days after auction end (not 3 days as shown at the top of the listing).
