Vehicle Detail

This is my 1959 Volkswagen Beetle. I have been driving this for the last 2 1/2 years as pretty much a daily driver. I completely went through it 3 years ago, replaced shocks, brakes, transmission, etc at that time. I have been debating whether to keep it or not as there are a few things I need to do with it to get it back on the road and have been weighing whether or not to overhaul it. First off... this is what I was planning on doing. It needs a new brake master cylinder and new front right turn signal. The floor has rust holes. When I bought it, the previous owner assured me the floor was solid. It wasn't. When I had it apart 3 years ago, I took sheet metal and screwed it into the floor pan, inside and out. I have been wanting to do a proper repair on it, but this patch I did has been holding up really well. I don't remember the extent of it, but I think it was relatively minor. The paint needs to be stripped and the car needs to be repainted. It was my first automobile paint job and it came out great, but over time the paint has been chipping and kind of bubbling in a few places. I replaced the gas tank, as the old one was rusting out, but the electric fuel sending unit for the gas gauge needs to be replaced. The gas gauge WAS an option back then and I have it... the hole above the radio has an analog clock in there. But the positives... it has a strong 1600 cc dual port engine. No heat, as I have J tubes on instead of heater boxes. The previous owner told me he had about 5000 miles on the engine and I have put about 20,000 on it. Body is straight and has no rust. I replaced the transmission with a rebuilt 1964 tranny that I bought at Bugformance in Sacramento... again, three years ago. Runs 12 volt when I got it. I put in a voltage drop circuit in to run the wipers. All electric works. Decklid standoffs in place. Replaced the tires with blackwall tires this Summer. Kept everything a stock as I could. Faithfully changed oil every 3000 miles and tuned it up every 6000 miles. This is being sold as a project. PLEASE remember that it has no brakes and cannot be driven. You will need to tow it back to your place. Selling it as I would like to get a 1966 - 1970 Bug. Currently on California non-op. NOTE: I am keeping the stereo, center console and speakers that are pictured. They will be removed from the Bug. I also have a 1959 owners manual that I am including with the car. Please see pictures for more detail and PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS -- Reserve is $2500.00 IF YOU HAVE ZERO FEEDBACK, I WILL EXTEND EVERY COURTESY TO YOU IF YOU ARE A NEW USER, BUT PLEASE FOLLOW THROUGH ON FINALIZING YOUR PURCHASE... YOU WILL NEED TO REPLY TO THE INVOICE I SEND YOU WITHIN 24 HOURS OF RECEIPT. YOU, AS THE BUYER, WILL NEED TO ARRANGE FOR PICKING THIS UP.
