Up for your consideration is a REAL "barn find". This car has sat parked in a barn since 1983. It is an amazing NUMBERS MATCHING, unmolested, true (XS29L9) 1969 Dodge Charger R/T. The fender tag and build sheet are still present! This car is COMPLETE, and very worthy of a restoration. DRIVETRAIN: The engine is the original numbers matching 440" V-8 (locked up from sitting so long) -See pics. The engine will need to be rebuilt. It still retains it's original HP exhaust manifolds, carbuetor, radiator, fan shroud, etc. The 727 automatic trans and 8-3/4 rear end are original. Wheels are CHROME Magnum 500's with BFGoodrich tires. This car has front POWER DISC BRAKES! Power steering. Non A/C car. The odometer shows 72k miles. Judging by the condition, I believe these to be original miles. INTERIOR: The interior is original and in excellent condition. Seats are in amazing shape (front and rear). Seat belts and shoulder belts are still intact. Door panels (front and rear) are in excellent condition. Upper pads (front and rear) have NO CRACKS! Dash pad has NO CRACKS! Woodgrain steering wheel has NO CRACKS! Console has NO CRACKS! Headliner has a couple small holes (see pics), but the dome light and console lights still work. Gauge cluster has the "TicTocTach". Also, has an extremely rare factory AM/FM radio! BODY: This is a (F-8) triple green Charger R/T. (Green body, vinyl top, and interior.) Black transverse R/T tail stripe. Paint still shines, but should be redone. I do have the original FENDER TAG and (most of ) the original BUILD SHEET. The Grill is in fantastic condition! It has NO CRACKS! The aluminum center "I" trim piece has no dents! Head lights and tail lights work. All glass is intact and in good condition. Front fenders are straight, but have a few rust holes. Doors are in decent condition (driver door is better than passenger door). Both rear 1/4 panels should be replaced. Green vinyl top is present, but should be replaced. Rear sail panels are in great condition. Interior floor pans are in good condition. Trunk floor should be replaced. Hood is in great condition, and still has the amber turn signals in it. Trunk lid has some rust on the rear inside edge. All stainless trim is present, and in excellent condition. ALL THE FRAME RAILS ARE SOLID!!! All body numbers match! OVERALL: This car is an EXCELLENT candidate for a restoration. It is a unmolested, well optioned, numbers matching, real R/T car. It is an extremely COMPLETE car! -It does not run, and must be trailered. The engine is the original NUMBERS MATCHING 440" that needs to be rebuilt. (How many of these are still here???)
