Up for sale is my 69 Baja. Im having to part with it because we are only allowed 2 cars in our complex and we have 3 so this one has to go:( My Girlfriend is bummed she loves the car. I pored tons of time and money into this car but I would be willing to take reasonable offers. Has a trunk welded lockable trunk that is fitted over where the old gas tank used to be Spun aluminum gas tank with gas gauge fitted to it. Car has been repainted in White and metallic blue. Set of 5 Jackman 8 spoke wheels painted Metallic blue With one extra Jackman (needs to be repainted) Has an Sony explode stereo 2 10 inch speakers in the back with a set of (2) 7 inchers under the seat. With amp. These bump hard. (rear speakers are protected via a speaker box with a aluminum expanded metal grate over them which is painted metallic blue with white trim. Newer interior Nice race steering wheel Racing seats bucket that are full recliners. 4 point harness seat belts Back seat was converted to a platform for caring large items. New VDO Gauges. Volt, Temp and oil pressure, all have to be hooked up I ran out of time to do this and my complex is having issues with me working on the cars so this will have to be done with the new owners. Has 5 switches in dash if you want a light bar. Has a very cool rear bumper not very common but have had many comments on where they could get one. All rubber is fresh Comes with Fire extinguisher located on passenger side firewall, just to the right of where your legs go Center consol that matches interior. Comes with 1/4 gallon of white auto paint just in case you go bajain and you scratch it up, you can make it look new again. I have a set of new head lights for the Baja, 4 pieces of metal to fabricate a bracket to have the head lights stay with the bumper and not have them attached to the hood. This will make them easier to adjust. I was going to put them in but my complex, as I've sated doesn't allow us to work on our cars. Did I mention It has a train horn in it too:) Its supper loud and will get any ones attention:) 1600cc engine single port with a very cool exhaust (no heater boxes) Freeway Flyer Trans (is very quiet) Tranny has low miles on it and is very quiet. It is a freeway flier (this is also known as a super beetle trans) it is geared so you can get up to speed with a smaller engine on the freeway. It’s a great transmission. The engine is older has a few very minor leaks but is very strong I lost traction in the dirt a few days ago so it has plenty of power. It’s a stock engine except for having a Bosch 009 dizzy and an aluminum degree pulley and a nice performance muffler system. The clutch is relatively new. The engine sounds good the fan has a slight rub going on with the shroud but its very minimal. Just put in new transmission mounts If you have any other questions please email me thanks. On Nov-24-11 at 00:04:17 PST, seller added the following information: On Nov-24-11 at 01:04:18 PST, seller added the following information: I forgot one huge thing, I have replaced the entire wiring harness with an OEM 69 bug harness (Pro Install) 3 years ago it just like factory spec with a few alterations because of it being a baja. All wires a supple and in great shape just like new. I also have replaced many of the electrical components such as the flasher relay the turn signal relay and a few others with new or like new components (The turn signal relay is brand new from Wolfsburg West)
