Vehicle Detail
For Auction no reserve is a very exceptional Pro built HS Seven Registered as a 1974.So no smog! . The car was built in 1987 and then put into storage everything was new or rebuilt at that time. It has 320 miles since 1987. Have all the original paper work (see pic's) It has a Ford 2.3L engine and 4 speed transmission runing a pinto rear end with 4 link suspension with spax coilovers on all four corners... The car was taken apart and rebuilt with all new tires, rims, Corbeau seats, belts. New spark plugs, wires distributor and carb rebuilt. Wanted this car to be as new. Did not repaint felt that person who bought the car would do that but if you want me to paint will do for $1,500 . All work done in Oct 2011 so this is a fresh car. Have also 4 three piece racing wheels with tires that fit the car see pic's . All this at a no reserve auction for a piece of History. Clear title. The car has all the hardware for a cover. Has no bows or top but has removable steering wheel like those in Nascar so makes it easier to get into. If you have never shipped a car and are concerned about that have done it before so can help you with that. Shipped Humvee to Denmark a couple of years ago so if you want shipped overseas can handle that for you. The Humvee to Denmark was about $4,500 but that is a large vehical. So bid with confidence and do not this get away if you want a Lotus for a fun car. Be sure to look at the pictures of the original build sheet this will give you more info. Track 55" Height44" Exterior Width 69" Curb Weight 1,200 lbs Fuel Capacity 12 gal Seat to roof 38" . HS Seven was built to recapture all of the driving sensations of the original Chapman street screamer, including suitability for both street and track use. while at the same time making engineering improvements to serve to eliminate the (legitimate) complaints of original Lotus 7 owners The The tubular steel space frame is stronger and more rigid to handle the power of performance equipped Ford Pinto and Mustang running gear. The cockpit has extra leg and hip room to accommodatge taller drivers, and in the true Lotus tradition , the skin is fashioned of both aluminum and fiberglass.
