Vehicle Detail

85% Rust Free “ARIZONA” MUSTANG Factory 289 C code 3 speed manual Candy apple red car Hi,Up for auction is my 85% Rust Free Arizona 1966 Mustang V-8 car .I have a Clean and Clear Arizona title ! Last registered in 2008 , I was told the engine was replaced at least 10,000 miles ago (before it was parked) with a rebuilt LONG BLOCK date coded 1967, however the engine still has the original 1966 intake and 2 barrel carb with the factory tags on them! Car has Original trans, 8 inch rear end. manual steering, manual drum brakes, and newer tires. Included in the auction are 2 videos I made of the car . The First video is of the engine and interior with the car running, The second video shows the body panels, top, bottom, floors, rails, torque boxes, drop off pans, engine bay, trunk pan, hood, door boxes and so on with the interior/carpet out of the car and the car on jack stands with the wheels removed. These videos cover everything that any Professional restorer would look at if they came to buy the car. Bid with confidence, please look at my past eBay sales and feedback of classic Arizona cars and vehicles I have sold !!! Please Do not bid unless you watch the videos, they will answer all of your questions and are included as part of the item description!! This car still has the factory 2.80 geared 8” rear end in it. ENGINE INFO: AS stated previously the Engine was replaced with a Rebuilt 1967 date coded Long block, according to the records in the glove box and the previous owner it was only around 10,000 miles ago. ( I personally did not own the car at that time or install the engine so its up to you to make the call, my professional "opinion" based on the way the engine runs and the block date code shows me that it is the truth, but you be the judge) I will include the engine paperwork in the sale of the car that i found in the glove box. Again It runs like a NEW ENGINE, the car sat for a few years so the carb could use a rebuild due to gas sitting in it for so long but other than that it could be a driver the way it is (other than brakes) . I did clean out the fuel line and gas tank, then put fresh gas in the tank. Also there is a New alternator, starter, fuel pump, water pump, fuel filter, and it feels like it has a brand new clutch the way it drives but I have never had the transmission out so i can only verify how the clutch engages which is like a new stiff mechanical clutch.( I only drove the car around my shop at low speeds since it does not have brakes, I have not had it on the highway) The brakes went out on the car and they were never fixed so it will need brake work. I don't know but i think it may be the master cylinder?? I currently have a new battery in the car but it is my shop battery and does not go with the sale. If you want please feel free to send an extra $68 and i will purchase one and put it in the car for shipping purposes. Again NO BATTERY and NO BRAKES !! the emergency brake cable is broken so it will not be usable. the car is also missing some small parts on the front end as you can see in the pictures The car needs a complete restoration and is being sold as is were is, I would have the outside soda or sand blasted since the paint is so old and has many layers, the last paid job was not done correctly and flaking off as you will note in the video!! The interior was reassembled after the videos were completed !! Rust repair needed includes:below the battery on the passenger apron has the typical mustang rust hole (no rust on the shock towers just the battery tray area)Driver and passenger front foot (toe) boardsboth 1/2 panels (can be sectioned) both outer rear wheel housesboth trunk outer drop off pans Passenger fender needs to be replaced (due to damage in accident) front and rear bumper needs replacingfront bumper filler panel needs replacing ( radiator support and unibody area is not damaged) Grille is missing and driver headlight extensionPlease see the 2nd Video for full details !!!! This is a very hard car to come by so if you have been looking for a classic mustang to get started on this car will save you THOUSANDS of dollars in restoration work since it is so original and complete. Winter is coming and its time for that restoration project you always wanted to do !! “IF YOU HAVE 0-5 Feedbacks Only, you must call me on the phone First before bidding” NOTE: I am not available Friday nights after 6pm through Saturday until 6pm Arizona Mountain Time !!
