Hello classic truck enthusiasts! For sale is this 1956 Chevrolet 3200 pickup. This truck has been in Florida for its first 55 years up until this spring! It has a NEW GM CRATE 350 engine with less than 100 miles on it! Shifting is through a car 4 speed on the floor. The engine, clutch, and transmission are excellent and run strong. The paint job was done a few years back, however I would say not really a great professional job - so there are a few runs in the paint, it's a little thin in areas, and some of the regular areas that get rust have them- rocker panels (which I have replacements for) door bottoms and fender bottoms. That being said, the rest of it looks great. The box and tailgate are straight, and rear fenders appear to be new. The cab corners and floor are not perfect but very solid -probably 8/10, A good 20 footer overall. Mechanically- like I stated, it runs strong. The 2bbl. carburetor is a little rough, probably from not being driven regularly. (Most folks would probably swap this for a 4 bbl anyhow.) The exhaust is dual 2" thru Flowmaster mufflers. The radiator is new and fits correctly. The frame is straight and pretty clean. The bed has newer wood and stainless steel strips. The drive train is original 1956 and rides like you could expect. The steering is tight except for the drag link, so there is some play in the wheel. The brakes are good, it pulls very slightly to the left. The tires are weather checked but hold air fine. The electrical harness is original too and could use updating. The bench seat is new, all the gauges and wipers work. The glass is all intact without cracks. The odometer states 25330 miles and was told by the previous owners that it is correct. If you are looking for a classic that doesn't need a lot of work to be a good daily driver or a good place to start to build a rat rod or street rod that isn't rusted beyond recognition- this is it.
