Vehicle Detail
NO RESERVE I bought this truck to fix up but came across a really good deal on a diesel truck and now no longer need this truck. It is a 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 Quad cab short bed with a very strong running V-10 engine. The truck has power windows, power locks, power mirrors and cruise control, (all work properly). It has A/C but it needs charged. The interior is fair, has power driver seat but there is an intermittent short, (I can replace fuse and it will work for a while then blows the fuse). It is missing the overhead console. The 4-wheel drive works great in high and low range. I just replaced the power steering gear box with a remanufactured one, (the old one was leaking). The truck has a little bit of a lift kit on it and needs to be realigned. The automatic transmission has a problem, it shifts from first gear straight to third, I drove it like this without any problems and I feel that it can be driven anywhere that you need to go. The motor runs extremely well and has tons of power. The body has the typical Dodge rust and has some bumps and bruises. Would make a great hunting truck, parts truck, fix it up, or simply use as is. I have not put the title in my name, I do have the title which is an Indiana title and has been signed by the previous owner. If you live in a notary state just let me know and I can do a rush title in my name otherwise, this title is ready to go. Please feel free to ask any questions and thank you for looking. 812-604-8229 I had a couple of ebayers tell me that the transmission does not need to be rebuilt and that it should be an easy fix, (I do not know for sure). I have this for sale locally and can end auction early. I had this truck sold a couple of weeks ago. The buyer came down on his motorcycle, paid for the truck, loaded up his motorcycle and started heading home. He got about 15 miles away when he said that it started shaking like it had a flat tire. He stopped and checked the tires and they were all fine. He tried again and it did the same thing. He then called me and told me what was going on, I met him there on my way home from work. He decided to drive it back to my house and once we got there he said that it never did it again but did not want to drive it all he ay home since he did have the one issue so I gave him his money back. I think by his description that something may have happened in the transmission. I drove it again after that day and could never get it to do what he said that it did. You may want to trailer or tow this home unless you live fairly close.
