I am selling my 77 Newport that was purchased from an estate sale of an elderly lady. Check out my 100% positive feedback as a seller and buyer, I have been honest about everything I have sold on ebay and this is no different. This is a true survivor and is all original except the battery and the air cleaner and Carb. The condition is very good. The interior is near mint and the exterior is clean with original paint and almost no rust. There is some minor surface rust on the rockers where the paint has chipped and one small rust spot about the size of a quarter down low on the rocker that is not visible unless you lay down under the car.There are a couple small spots on the passenger side where the "old lady" must have scraped the garage when backing out, they are not really even noticeable in the pics but I wanted to let you know about them. The frame and undercarriage is clean and rust free. It has a 400 CI V8 that runs strong and the transmission shifts smooth. This car is not perfect BUT it is a very clean original and looks good for a driver with a good cleaning and buffing it would really shine up. There is a little bubbling under the vinyl top but not bad and the vinyl is still in good shape. The tires have a lot of tread but they are somewhat dry rotted from sitting for so long. This car would be a great weekend cruiser for the whole family as it is large and comfortable. It drives down the road nicely and is very smooth and powerfull. I am a dealer in TN BUT this car was bought for myself and I have had it for about 2 yrs., I no longer have anyplace to store it and I need to let it go so it doesn't go downhill sitting outside. I am willing to store the vehicle outside for a negotiated period of time not to exceed 30 days and buyer is responsible for any potential damage during this period. This car is being sold as is, I am a licensed TN auto dealer and I can give a 30 day temporary tag to drive the car home if you choose to but I would be concerned about the tires on a long trip, insurance is the buyers responsibility.There are NO ADDITIONAL FEES WITH THIS SALE just the winning bid price (unless you live in the state of TN then I will have to collect sales tax) The reserve is set very low on this car and I do not disclose the reserve.
