I'm selling my 1977 vw bus. ITs my daily driver and runs nice. It was originally purchased from a vw show car guy six months ago who has been doing restoration work to it but it still has a ways to go. Theres some rust in the usual spots but alot of it has been remedied with bondo from the previous owner. Lots of upgrades done to it. Ive been focusing more on the mechanical aspects of it. It can cruise the interstate at 60 to 70 mph. Dual quiet exhaust installed. Working sink and propane burner. Great car to draw attention or to paint into a hippie bus! drive it while you restore it or keep it as is! Im not a vw expert but will try to post as much info as possible. Upgrades/Changes: -Engine is 1600cc Dual port vw beetle engine (better mpg) -Electronic SVDA vaccum advance distributer -Hot spark upgraded ignition coil -new spark plug wires -valve adjustment, spark plugs and oil changed only 600 miles ago -bocar-solex 31 carb -Dual quiet exhaust and header from JC Whitney -1500 watt power inverter added -Internal mini window AC unit added above the sink. (powered by inverter) -90 AMP alternator to power the inverter -Marine battery upgrade (for rapid charge and discharge cycles) - Key ignition replaced with push button - under body lights - Bus driver style fan installed on dash for better interior air circulation Things not restored yet: -brakes need adjusting due to one of the rubber rear brake lines cracking. easy fix haven't gotten around to it yet -win shield is cracked. they run about 180 for a tinted one ive been eyeballing online. alot of places offer free replacement but they are only open during the day. -interior - interior lighting, sound system, ect - origional fridge was removed
