This is an original SS 396 4-speed car. It does not come with an engine or transmission. It began as a body-off restoration, but time and money have caused a change of plans. The body is very solid. There are some pinholes in the trunk floor and driver’s side front floor pan. There is also some rust around the rear window. There is a small dent in the center of the roof right above the windshield, and someone enlarged the hole for the shifter in the floor. I could not find rust or damage any other place on the car. The odometer reads just over 45,000 miles. I have no idea if those are original. This car has had a disk brake conversion using what appear to be stock style single piston calipers. There is no windshield, but all the side glass and rear glass are in excellent condition. Here is what comes with the car: 12-bolt rear end, two sets of front fenders (neither are perfect, but both are useable), left & right inner fenders, power disk brake conversion, power steering, new front springs, urethane body mounts, urethane sway bar mounts, urethane upper and lower control arm bushings, 14 x 7 & 15 x 10 Crager SS wheels, one set of wheel lip moldings, C-H-E-V-E-L-L-E hood logo, 3-piece grill, rear window molding, two sets of door sills, hood trim, miscellaneous trim, one extra set of tail lamp housings and lamps, defroster plumbing, left and right front kick panels, dash insert, five headlamps, eight headlamp buckets, eight headlight trim rings, left and right arm rests, two ash trays (front), two gas pedals, hood latches, four window cranks, one door handle, rear view mirror, glove box door, left and right front blinkers, original steering box and master cylinder, miscellaneous belts and rubber seals, glass washer bottle, battery tray, windshield trim, extra wiring harness with fuse box & ignition, interior wiring harness, hood center trim, two Chevelle emblems, one 396 cross flags emblem, one Super Sport emblem, big block Chevy chrome valve covers, Hurst Competition Plus shifter with 4-speed knob, two bell cranks and shift linkage, HVAC controller, three wiper arms, Delco AM radio, left and right headlamp mounts, three engine pulleys, three core radiator with trans cooler, cooling fan with clutch, one rear ash tray, extra body mounts, one outside door handle, misc. dash knobs, misc. fasteners and clips, front and rear bumper filler panels, cowl grill, dash with fuel, battery, temperature and oil pressure gauges, 120 mph speedometer and super sport logo, dash pad, 4-speed console with clock, original front brake drum assemblies, water pump, front bumper (either new or re-chromed), rear bumper, transmission crossmember, hood hinges, floor shift boot, two right and one left front bucket seats, back seat, propshaft, heater assembly, HVAC controller, steering wheel, hood and all window mechanisms. Casting #353049 C27 78 & C30 78 BBC crankshaft The only number I could find is 6223 (measured with calipers) 2-29/32 inch rod journals & 3 in main journals SBC Goodwrench 350 heads (measured with calipers) 1.94/1.40 3888993 Muncie transmission casting #3851325.
