You are looking at a very rare early 50’s pickup truck from the Big 3. This is a true “Barn Find” from Nebraska’s high plains. As Hemmings Motor News wrote in June of 2010; “They were blessed with great looks, great mechanicals, in addition to a theme of purpose that wasn't just a slogan. The Dodge truck line of 1954 should have been a platinum hit, and even though it wasn't, these trucks still rank among Chrysler's most historic. Compared to trucks from the Bigger Two, however, they're seldom seen, and while that's sad, it does turn any 1954 Dodge light truck into a special treat.” From the title work, this looks to be a two owner all original example of a very special truck that has spent its life in Texas and Nebraska. This Job-Rated truck has the venerable and ageless Chrysler L-head straight-six, three speed manual transmission. The engine, clutch, power train still runs great. Lights, windshield wipers all work. Only issue we can see is the need to replace the master cylinder for the breaks. All glass is in excellant shape with the exception of the driver's side wing window. (small crack, easily replaced) and the rear view mirror. Truck also has its original spare as shown in the photos. This is a solid truck that is ready to be a daily driver, with minimal investment or to restore as an excellent example of Dodge’s heritage. The truck is not perfect, but it is solid. The odometer reads 16872, but pretty certain that it has rolled over once. This truck is being sold as is. Please serious bidders only.
