Vehicle Detail

1984 Limo - 1 of 20 Built By Buick For The Olympics Limousine specially built for the 1984 Olympics This vehicle has 64,000 actual miles and is very reliable and mechanically sound. VIN 1G4AU37YXEH894440 FEATURES Seats 8 Front and rear air conditioning (currently not working) 2 jump seats can be removed or installed facing front or rear Provisions for 2 flags on front bumper Built-in telephone, with telephone antenna mounted on the trunk lid Exterior Olympic badging on the front and vinyl top Olympic rings stitched into velour seats Originally a 2 door Park Avenue, converted by the Eureka Coach Company Empire Olympian Body Type Rear door is 51" long 307 cu in V8 engine (gas mileage is around 20mpg!) INTERIOR The interior is in great condition. There are no rips or tears in the brown velour interior. The passengers side vanity mirror has a broken latch and there are a few small stains on the seats and carpeting. The dome lights and power door locks quit working. EXTERIOR The exterior is not in very good condition. The original white paint is cracked from age. All 4 fenders appear to have been repaired at some point in time. There are also spots on the car that have been touched up with white paint, very poorly. There are a few bad door dings here and there, mostly located on the front doors. There is a small dent just behind the front bumper on the passengers side. The trunk lid is slightly bent and the front nosepiece is cracked (as though someone leaned on it). The vehicle has no rust. The vinyl top and tires were recently replaced. The passengers side door is hard to open because the inner latch needs work. Basically, it needs some minor body work and new paint. HANDLING The vehicle drives straight and true and has a very smooth ride. The tires wear evenly. PROMENADE The Body Plate indicates the vehicle was built the third week of February 1984. See: tech.oldsgmail.com/misc_bplate.php gnttype.org/general/vin.html The "Quality Protection Plan" policy issued by Eureka states the owner is the Jerry Harmon Buick dealer in Los Angeles. The Buick warranty card states it was first sold by Childress Buick (located in Phoenix, AZ) to Pinnacle Paradise Inc (located in Scottsdale, AZ) on September 20, 1984 with 2760 miles. The carfax states it was first sold by Buick in Oct 1984 with 2784 miles. The 1984 Olympics were held from July 28 to August 12 in Los Angeles. The limo has Olympic badging and stitching in the seats. Also a painting of Charlie Brown as an Olympian on the rear AC unit located in the trunk. The information I have proves it was built in February 1984. Then the Jerry Harmon Buick dealer had the vehicle converted. Then it was sold for the first time by a Buick dealer on September 20 1984. And then it was registered for the first time in October 1984. I was told there were 20 of these vehicles made, but I have no proof of this. I have tried to find more documentation on the limo, but I have been unsuccessful. I would like to find a list of the VIN numbers of the Limos that were built for the Olympics (if one exists). If anyone has more information, please let me know. Sold as is. No warranty. Non-refundable deposit of $500.00 required within 3 days of auction end. Balance due within 14 days. Cash, certified check, or bank transfer only. Buyer responsible for pickup or shipping. Located near Phoenix.
