1965 Ford F250 Custom Cab "Camper Special"and 1967 Little Gem Truck Camper---------------------------------------------------------------- This truck was owned by the same family since new, when I bought it a few months ago. The grandfather bought it brand new when he retired, and drove it to Arizona with a camper on it every winter. When he passed away, the truck was kept in the family. Most recently, I found the truck tucked away in the back of the grandson's garage, where it had been sitting for years. I towed it to my mechanic's garage, and after all new fluids, a new fuel tank, new exhaust manifolds, and a few other things, the 46 year old truck is proudly running the roads again, with a vintage camper on it's back, just like it was made to do back in 1965. To be a perfect show truck, it's in need of a complete restoration. It's an extremely solid old truck that has never been molested. Mechanically and cosmetically, however, it's completely servicable as it is if one would prefer to keep it this way. It's powered by the original 352 CID engine and 4-speed manual transmission. All of the mechanics of it work properly, and it's ready to go camping. The camper appears to be completely original, short of the curtains and upholstery that look to have been redone sometime in the past. The gas refrigerator, three years ago, was completely refurbished mechanically (to the tune of $800). Most all of the original owner's manuals for the different components of the camper are in-tact, see picture.
