Vehicle Detail
This is a classic beauty and fun! I recently inherited this gem from an uncle who was the second owner-he bought it in 1958! The car runs well, and is fun to drive. The engine was replaced in 1972. It has not been driven a great deal in many years- only an occasional "outing." With a little work, this would be an excellent showpiece! There is some minor body damage on the right front fender as well as the left rear fender, and the paint (not original) is wearing a bit with age. I believe it has the original interior, which is in pretty fair condition considering it's age. The trunk latch has broken, but the trunk stays closed. The glass is in good condition and the convertible top which was replaced some time ago, and is also in good condition. It appears that wiper blades could stand to be replaced. At some point, the original radio was replaced with a Sony am/fm single CD unit, which works well. I don't find very much body rust-as stated, the car was not driven much in recent years and was garaged. I would LOVE to keep this car, but I simply cannot. I know that you will find it to be a worthwhile project of sorts, and it will give you much satisfaction to touch it up, drive it, show it, and be the proud owner as Uncle was for so many years!
