1988 Mazda RX-7 S4 TURBO-II Thank you for taking the time to look at this auction! This is a rare all original1988 RX-7 TURBO-II. From what I can see I am the third owner of this vehicle. The car live its whole life since new in Southern CA. under the ownership and care of an older couple. Makes sense since these cars were quite expensive when they were new. Anyways, the 2nd owner whom I purchased the car from about 2 years ago lived in Colorodo. He owned the car for a span of about a year but didnt really drive it. He is a realestate agent and said to me he aquired it in a deal he made with the original owners of this beutiful car. I so then purchased the car from him about 2 years ago and brought the car back to CA. from CO. and registered it under my name becoming the 3rd owner. The car as you can see from the pictures is all original from the intake down to the exhaust. Even the paint appears to be original since it still has the original red gradiant print TURBO-II logos on the fenders. The only thing that is not original on the car is the battery which I replaced a few months back and the tires. The hood scoop was painted black by one of the previous owners at some point in time. Other then that the car is all original. The condition and compression of the engine is great! The car starts right up without any hesitation and it does not smoke. The engine doesnt suffer from vapor lock. And the car doesnt leak from anywhere. No stains under the car ever! Perfectly healthy engine! It still even today is a very quick car! The suspension is tight and feels great. The power steering pump is in perfect working order and doesnt make any noise. The brakes are in perfect working order also. This car comes with the nice big 4 piston monoblock calipers from Mazda up front with factory integrated brake cooling ducts that feed cool air to the rotors through the front bumper. The car stops very well! The differential still has the LSD differential in perfect working order. When the car is placed on a lift and you turn one drive wheel, the drive wheel on the oposite turns in the same direction meening the limited slip unit is healthy and oporational. The transmission and clutch shift fine and hold as they should as well. The interior, is perfect and everything works as it should. There are no rips or tears in the interior and the headliner doesnt sag. Amazing! The factory radio does kind of have a mind of its own at times. Some times it will be on a different station when you turn the car back on after shuting it off. But you just put it back where you want it and it works as normal. The automatic electric rertactable antenna works as it should! The exterior of the car is also in perfect condition! Straight as an arrow with no dents. No evidence of body work ever being performed is present and I look hard for this before buying any car, even when "brand new" from a dealer ship lot. All glass is good. The paint like I said is what I belive to be the original paint and is very nice and still shines. White paint holds up very well to age beause its a cool color temperature wise in nature. The car being a Southern CA. car for about 22 years out of its 23 year life is rust free and solid. The car doesn't leak any water into the cabin when it rains or the car is being washed. All lights and turn signals work as they should. The pop up headlights work as they should. All other controls or pull switches work as they should. The car passed smog with no issues. Also, the tags just came in for the car so they will be current till next year from now. If you need to have the car shipped then I can assist you with that. A $500.00 deposit is due within 48 hours of the auctions end. And full payment is due within 7 days of the auctions end unless otherwise discussed and agreed upon between the buyer and myself. This is a mint condition used car, it is not a new car. The car is being sold as is where is unless otherwise specified by me and has no active warranty expressed or implied. The car has been checked out by a local mechanic that builds race cars and it checked out perfectly with him. He was also a Master Tech for GM a few years ago before opening his own race shop. On Oct-31-11 at 22:24:18 PDT, seller added the following information: An interested party messaged me and asked if the A/C blows cold and if the tires still have good tread left. The A/C system is all complete and all of its components are in place. Currently the system doesnt blow cold. Its just a matter of recharging the system.
